Really? For my part i cant understand wtf they are thinking provoking us like that.

No way it will make us accept a lower bid, and making an enemy out of the Saudis doesn't seem like the best idea.

Absolutely aye, again they really want him and know he's priceless in reality such players simply aren't available.

So what they are doing is smart anchoring low and isn't every trick in the book to name a price which they will continue to drive down.

If I'm nufc I'm not picking up the calls from them.

Can't really say this is a win for us though. Isak's reputation is irreparable damaged for us, and Liverpool have sucessfully disrupted an already shambolic transfer window.

"Liverpool don't rate you as highly as we do. Now go get us 30 goals".

Should call them back just to tell them to fuck off again. 110m?!

All of that noise and that’s the take it or leave it offer? Piss-takers and dossers.

Just have to get Eddie back and get him round his house to make a roast dinner and it'll be sorted.

as the date of first training back in England  (Tuesday next week possibly) getting closer Isak and his agent asked Liverpool to make the first bid I am sure of that.

I expect next bid on Monday or even earlier.

But that means Isak really has to turn up on Tuesday because if he doesnt he is just burning even more bridges.

Liverpool really have our number. Rattling Gordon last summer and Isak now.

£110m is a serious enough offer that they know we would never accept but that gets under Isak’s skin and throws off the start of our season.

The tawdry scouse wankers will be back soon enough like. They're relying on us getting desperate and moving him on for 30m less than he's worth. Just got to go about our business, that lumper will come in eventually I'm sure but only when it's a large enough number and when it suits us. Let them have their little tantrum this weekend, we still have the player they actually wanted this summer :)

NUFC should now publicly accept a £150+ bid from Saudi. Explore that Alex…

If you want to explore a move away so much then it’s on our terms.

And what benefit would that have anyone. You think they think a sneak attack bid will catch us so off guard we’ll accept.

I think their gameplan is to make it impossible for Isak to stay here so the price can be driven down to around 120m, or as much as possible. They’ll be talking to Isak saying we’ve been completely unreasonable and are refusing to negotiate.

It's 6m less than they signed Wirtz for.

Isak is a PROVEN bonefide number 9 in the premier league and you offer LESS.

I'm not surprised our response may have been fairly emphatic.

Yep. In a market where midfielders are going for £100-116m in recent years, then the bar for one of the top strikers in the PL/Europe/The World has to be much, much higher than that.

Depends if they can get Isak to extend his strike to competitive games. If he’s still here at the start of the season and not playing then we’ll have a decision to make.

Sincerely hope we have been completely unreasonable and are refusing to negotiate tbh. It's the exact stance I want

Honestly Isak should be insulted by their valuation.

Don't believe for a second that that's the end of the story, it's just a play in a very miserable game.

I think it's done mainly as we aren't able to get a suitable replacement.  I think he'll be gone next season but it gives us the time to get a proper recruitment team and do a thorough search.  I also am convinced Liverpool don't have the head room to offer what we want without selling Nunez or Elliot.  Hence the low ball offer.
