The Prophet Posted Thursday at 09:15 Share Posted Thursday at 09:15 Was it Baldwards who reported that there would be attempts to unsettle Isak? Pretty cunty stuff.

Yep, it originated from GiveMeSport's Arsenal writer and was basically a rehash of last summer's news.

Sima Posted Thursday at 09:58 Share Posted Thursday at 09:58 (edited) I saw they were talking about Howe to Man City yesterday. Â Proper rattled because we have our hands on a trophy and trying their best to unsettle everything about us. Kid Icarus Posted Thursday at 10:04 Share Posted Thursday at 10:04 Yeah it sounds conspiratorial, but we know from how the cartel clubs acted immediately after the takeover that it's very likely coordinated.
Geordie Ahmed Posted Thursday at 10:09 Share Posted Thursday at 10:09 Arsenal fans seemed to have calmed down a little bit when it comes to them getting Isak but they've been relentlessly replaced by Liverpool fans thinking they'll click their fingers and will get him
The Prophet Posted Thursday at 10:16 Share Posted Thursday at 10:16 With Liverpool, it's more likely that they're putting out news of an ambitious transfer target after a grim couple of weeks. Think "we tried" but with more phlegm and a "la" at the end.
Dr Jinx Posted Thursday at 10:22 Share Posted Thursday at 10:22 I'd very much like it if he stayed here until he was into his 30's but we also need to be realistic. Â If we can't hold onto him then we need to sell when his value is at it's highest. Is that now or one more epic season? Â I think we can get 175m for him that would help the club massively. Â We're so dependent on him because our other options are so poor. If by selling him we can bring the averages up, it will soften the blow a bit. Â My gut feeling is one more season or.. if we end up top 4 then all that goes out the window.
Monters Posted Thursday at 10:25 Share Posted Thursday at 10:25 Talkshite wheeled out Harry Redknapp this morning to tout Isak to the highest bidder and Howe to England... It does seem relentless at the minute but push comes to shove there's not many out there that can afford the fee we'd demand, next summer could be very different but that's for future us to worry about! Gaztoon Posted Thursday at 10:44 Share Posted Thursday at 10:44 It's upto the club to show everyone that we don't get bullied anymore. Give him haaland money and fuck the rest and their bullshit rules.
Ginola Posted Thursday at 11:14 Share Posted Thursday at 11:14 Noise from the media wishing him away is going to be relentless throughout the summer, even if he signs a new contract. I'm confident he'll stay though
Joelinton7 Posted Thursday at 11:23 Share Posted Thursday at 11:23 (edited) From ssn. They’re absolutely fucking relentless. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. Imo he’s signing a new conetract here. If he was gonna’ leave he’d have gone when a) we were desperate to sell and b) not when we’ve just won a  cup and can still get in the CL. Jewel Posted Thursday at 11:46 Share Posted Thursday at 11:46 Talksport are saying Quansah and Joe Gomez could be used as makeweights in any deal to sign Isak. Maybe throw in Darwin Nunez as well. Â Nightmare scenario for me. I don't want any of those three, especially at the valuations Liverpool would put on them. Worryingly, we know Eddie is a big fan of Joe Gomez. GeordieDazzler Posted Thursday at 11:49 Share Posted Thursday at 11:49 Isak is just engagement bait at this point. Unless someone is getting close to putting £150m down on the table nowt is happening.

The only way it “might” happen is if we don’t get CL and he decides he wants to go elsewhere, then we might be looking at a summer transfer. Even then tho I think he might give us another year given we’re bringing in new signings.  Hes one of the best strikers in the world, there was always going to be loads of stuff from pundits, fans, people trying to unsettle him. Most of it is just noise but it’s going to get a lot lot worse.
