There can be all the talk in the world, but it won’t unsettle Isak. He’s very chill and relaxed and down to earth. It also won’t happen unless it’s like 140m+ or thereabouts. No one will offer that.

Jacobs is just a mouthpiece for Chelsea and the Saudi clubs.

It was inevitable there would be loads of noise trying to unsettle Isak this summer.

He’s not a mouth piece for the Saudi clubs. He’s in the Qatari pockets, yet Sky and Talk Sport use him as a Saudi correspondent, because Middle East countries = all the same.

He’s a paid Qatari mouthpiece used to attack us and Man City.

I've just seen him discuss the transfers of the Saudi clubs a lot. Can't say I've ever seen him attack us or City.

He’s been at it since the takeover was first rumoured. Like I say, he does ‘Saudi transfer news’ for Sky and Talksport because they are ignorant enough to think that A: Him being paid by Qatar to cover the World Cup and post positively about PSG = him knowing about Saudi clubs, and B: Talking shit about Saudi’s = him knowing about the Saudi clubs.

The guy is up there with Micky Mouse Delaney as a relentless cunt.

Fair enough. He's definitely on the Chelsea payroll too.

Ben Jacobs reckons Liverpool are going to bid for him.

Also reckons they're keen on Joao Pedro & Gordon if they cant get Isak.

Liverpool fan in our WhatsApp chat going on about an Isak bid being imminent. Can’t see it myself unless it’s daft money and even then I don’t see Howe/PIF selling this summer. We’re in the CL and already one striker down ffs, Howe would almost walk if it went through 😂

Can see them going in for Gordon however.

Have we properly triggered Liverpool by beating them in the Cup Final. They can't be scared of us surely.

Let's not do any business with the Sky 6 for our top players. Reject all offers from them. Do a Daniel Levy! Selling Isak or Gordon to Liverpool would be a disaster – then Tino's off to Man City and we're back to being a feeder club. Just say no to all Prem teams. I'd much rather see Isak in Barcelona than Liverpool, even if it means less money.

This will be his last season with us no doubt about it . He will be able to get about 300k a week at another club and I doubt we can even afford to pay him half that really .

Bruno already gets more than that. Pretty sure we could stretch to 200k for him.

You’re right in that he could get more elsewhere obviously, but I wouldn’t be so convinced this is his last season here.

We can , I think we offer him 200k

Not sure if he will accept or leave next season but if he does (so be it)

We only want players who want to be here and can’t expect players to be loyal , they will always follow the money

it’s a job for them.

Our aim is to use that money wisely and build a squad that can challenge at the top consistently and in turn , pay those higher wages

The only way I would be okay with this is if we got both Osimhen AND David in as his replacements and sold for over 140m. We’d be net better off, for 70m. Two top prolific strikers and half the money left over for the rest of the team. It’s highly unlikely of course.

Didn't Liverpool just buy Wirtz for stupid money? Do they even have any leeway? I was under the impression from what Klopp said a while ago that they're just a small local family club and they have zero hopes of ever spending money like PSG and City.

Or like us  Klopp specifically named us along with City as one of the clubs poor little scrappy Liverpool could never dream of keeping up with.

"I heard now that at Newcastle somebody [sporting director Dan Ashworth] said 'there is no ceiling for this club'. Yes! He is right. He is absolutely right. There is no ceiling for Newcastle. Congratulations, but some other clubs have ceilings!"

Don’t worry about that ceiling Jurgen. FSG, the Kroenke’s (not the Krankies) and the Glazers fixed it for us with reinforced titanium. And pulled the ladder up whilst they were at it.
