Sounds like he's starting to turn a corner. We might actually get some interest for him this summer.

Would be great to make some cash on him, even if it’s only £3-5m

Is that not roughly what we paid for him?

Just checked and it was an undisclosed fee reported to be up to £3M

Pointless signing from day 1.

It was a zero-risk signing at a time we had absolutely no cover for Trippier. Thankfully we didn't need to play him.

Eh? Signed in Jan and made his first match day squad appearance in May.

He like others is/was a PSR gamble, buy cheap hope to sell high.

Whilst our hit rate has been 'poor' so far our return (Minteh) has been worth it.

He didn't look too bad the few times i've seen him play for us to be fair, but he was part of that team that last 8-0 to the A league all stars and i don't think any of them will ever play for us competitively.

Aye, probably because he was a bit pants and was thankfully never needed.

Not every signing like this will be like Minteh but one hit covers a lot of failures. Also £3m and on low wages, we could still be making money out of him if he has a breakout season.

Signing a young player with high potential for pennies isn't senseless, especially in the PSR age.

Every signing like that is a gamble to some extent. At worst you make a small loss.

Turning 22 this year and has hardly played any senior football. I remain sceptical. Hope he proves me wrong.

West Ham fans were pissed when they sold him to us and couldn't understand why he wasn't starting for them.  I assume personality issues have been his problem, but hopefully, he's turned a corner.  I think probably 90% of players fail to get to the top level because of mentality as opposed to ability.

And all of this too.

Nah, it never made any sense. Signing a 21-22-year old with about 5 senior games under his belt.
