Got hounded at the end of the summer for saying not getting a right winger over two windows is dreadful business. A massive hole in our team right now that may well be costing us points.

He is properly shit. The number of people on here who were fooled by him after preseason too

Away from home or against better sides his work rate and pace on the counter is useful. But he’s not a PL quality attacker and he will cost us many more points than he gains.

Can't believe people are calling that "shit". I know for a fact you've all watched season after season of actual shit, and you know pinning a team back like that for 80 minutes isn't it!

A section of our fans are just embarassing.

Today was poor, we were lethargic and lacked cutting edge. You can acknowledge that without overreacting.

This season isn't about the elimination of the odd poor performance, it's about progress and we've seen plenty of it to date. Our points tally doesn't reflect our performances, but if we play like we have so far this season, that will take care of itself.

It's totally unsurprising the squad still has holes after two transfer markets. Even after investing circa £200 million on a number of players, including half a dozen first teamers, we're a long way from being able to challenge at the top end of the table.

Most of us want a club that tries and that's exactly what we have. A minority seem to have forgotten that already.

I thought the positions we needed to address most was RW and CM.

We need sharper passing in midfield, that can give wingers a little more time and space to attack.

Joelinton, Willock, Almiron, Fraser - that’s not enough footballing ability to create and score chances.

Willock did a good job of promoting the lack of quality in CM today for sure. I still think RW is bigger weakness because it's expected to provide the final balls for goals and we have nobody who can play there and do that.

Maybe time for a new flag, 'a team that tries is no longer enough; we now want a squad with no holes and plenty of backup, and to be winning all the time'

We need both.

We need someone that can let Bruno play further up or someone with his ability (or better) on the ball. We lack genuine ability in midfield and attack.

Yes Bruno should be higher up. He was tired and couldn't track back 2nd half anymore.

This is why I was so excited by the possibility of signing Maddison.

whetherr at RCM, AM, RW - you know he will create and score.  None of the lads that play RCM or RW ever look like doing either

There is a degree of perspective required. We haven’t been bested by anyone we’ve played against really. Even Liverpool has a massive asterisk attached. These are missed opportunities though.

At least Almiron had a shot on goal, managed to get by his man, cross a ball.  Where was Fraser?

Agree that Fraser was rubbish but he forced the best save out of their keeper in the first half.

Put 20 crosses in - fuck all. Plan B - put 20 more crosses in!

Eddie must be telling them to keep the ball, even if it means playing it inside and backwards, unless they get to the byline. It takes us so long to get to the byline, the opposition have been given time to get back and get organised.Bringing on ( again) Longstaff and Murphy when we need a goal or two shows how weak we are on the bench. I’ll say it again,Big Joe and Willock aren’t going to make things happen.BDB Man Of The Match for me.The most crisp passer of the ball we have.

Deep defending sides are our kryptonite and have been for a long time.

We're a team in transition, trying to find a new way of playing while still having some fairly rubbish players on our books, unfortunately. A bit cliché but a few things just aren't going out way either.

Howe will need to make some adjustments in the short-term but the mission for the next few months is to keep building the platform for the team he wants while staying in touch with the top half ready for an assault during the second half of the season.

After 14 years of not trying we absolutely wanted a team that tries. We got that very quickly. Ashley has gone now, the new owners want to create an elite club. ‘Trying’ is great but it’s the least we expect now. We tried today but didn’t have the quality to make it count.

There are some right bed wetters about. The squad is thin and yes we desperately need a new winger and midfielder but it was clearly difficult in window it. will. take. time. We will have much better results, but we will probably only be midtable nothing more. We especially struggle as soon as our subs bench is called on. Too much of the team is still brucie's boys.

Thought a 1-0 or 2-1 would’ve been the “fair” result, but there was a lot to be frustrated by from the usual suspects on the pitch. The front three, in particular, were pretty woeful in open play in various elements and Joelinton had his poorest game in some time in an attacking sense. With Bruno clearly not 100% fit and Willock doing the usual, we were never going to run away with it.

Also, for how good our delivery now is, how are we so wank from corners?
