Newcastle United 1-0 Everton (19/10/2022)

I respect them being awful cunts, Lampard i expected to fail to fix their awful defense, they had become really easy to beat and while he has taken his time to do so they are really annoying to play against and if this season for them is about finishing safely in 14th this is the kind of football that will get you there. Hopefully we can get another, can't see them scoring more than 1.

Joelinton has to come off. Looks injured, keeps giving the ball away and could have had a second yellow. He has been a liability, sadly.

We were crap for half an hour and they controlled us well. They went to shit after the goal and we were all over them. Shame we couldn’t get a second. But there will be more space for us this half and we should be able to create a bit more.

Burn has looked a bit iffy at times. Horrible cunt that Gordon. But he is everywhere and always alert.

Decent performance, but don't feel comfortable at all.

We really need to get the next goal. This Everton team is so scrappy man.

Don't like the fact DCL is back either. He's so annoying and could steal in and snatch something for them.

We played some sensational football there, Joelinton and Bruno dominating the midfield. Cant complain. Is everyone really saying that Big Jo was shit?? Murphy and Longstaff just lack quality, shame about the injuries. Early goal in the second half and we got this

Everton seem to be getting a bit of joy from creating an overload in that space in front of Burn and Botman. Joelinton has been very poor at recycling regained possession from there and other than a set piece, that’s where the danger is coming from.

Burn was way too aggressive there even if it ended up looking softer on replays, VAR would never overturn that due to contact. No need to go that close to Gordon in the corner of the box.
