Didn't Serie B used to have some form of rule where if third finished so many points clear they'd just promote them and there would be no play-offs? I could be getting it mixed up with something else though.

Yup. 10 points or more and third goes up automatically.

Finished 2nd on 107 points and losing to a team who finished 6th and 35 points behind.

Obviously there's nothing wrong, they're the rules, but think Play-Offs need to be reviewed after this because that's nonsense.

Ahhh I get you. Aye that's a bit shit like.

Seems like a fair enough way to do it.

Aye. Serie B is always pretty even/competitive/shit so it doesn't happen very often. Last time was when Juve, Genoa and Napoli all went up in 2007. Napoli and Genoa drew 0-0 last game and both celebrated promotion as a result.

I'd even say as much as 15-20 would be fair 35 though is ridiculous.

Thank goodness for that.

Hopefully the last two seasons will ram home the need for reform.

Will stick to my belief it should become League 3. It's a professional league these days, a lot of clubs are easily Football League clubs in stature (Chesterfield, Notts County, York, Southend, Barnet, Oldham...) just mirror the rest of the EFL in terms of promotion and relegation.
