Dr.Spaceman
My parents used to live on Ipswich Road in between Norwich and Ipswich. Whole area is weird.

Add in the absolutely horrendous individual mistakes from Onana and the shit going on within the club in regards to the sale and I genuinely feel for Ten Hag. He's handled the Ronaldo and Sancho situations well. He did a brilliant job last season given the injuries and the amount of games we had to play. Won us our first trophy in years and got us back into the CL. He has a lot more time for me, but the noise will start to get louder the longer this keeps up. He has to drop Rashford and stop playing Bruno on the right. That's the two major criticisms at the minute. My braindead tactics would be Bruce-like - "just give the ball to Bruno" and let Bruno sort it all out.

I mean that's pretty much what we've done for the past three years. People think we relied Rashford last season and it couldn't be further from the truth. Absolutely everything goes through Bruno. A lot harder for that to happen when he's pushed out to the right wing though.
triggs
1 hour ago, leffe186 said: Yeah, I do think that people are forgetting how De Gea was playing and how low his confidence was. Still, just look at the keepers bought in the off season. Onana £44M, Sanchez £25M, Vicario £16M, Verbruggen £16M, Henderson £15M. It’s looking a bit silly. I was never a massive De Gea fan but it felt like everybody decided he was absolutely shit without much justification at the end of last season

Something rotten there.. the way they’ve handled significant player situations (Greenwood, Sancho) has been appalling, owners that have no sporting interest in the club, no direction, what kind of scouting do they have? You can see clear as day this will continue on and off, season after season. Change a manager, no difference.. ETH has been made to look a mug by his players. His aura of the work he did at Ajax in tatters, he’s been exposed there big time. Hasn't helped himself mind. And it's mostly the owners. He's picked a couple of battles he didn't know he would win. They should've gotten rid of Maguire no matter what. And do the same with Sancho. That's what Arsenal did with Auba and co. at Arsenal, and that sends a message to the squad. He's also let the Owners half arse on transfers. Are Mount, Casemiro etc., players he actually wants? And actually wanting Antony is a red flag. I'm always flip-flopping on him. Sometimes I think they look a well-coached side other times.... it looks like a mess.

How the hell do you go from Wallsend Boys Club to Morecambe to Leeds and then Ipswich before your 24? What an odd career.
The College Dropout
Like the Sancho thing. He's on £350k p/w apparently. Be very lucky if someone wants to pay him half. Are Man Utd wiling to take the L on him like that? Let's say £35m fee minus £15m in wages. I can see Juve type club doing that at best. I don't see a PL club that would take him for proper money. GeordieDazzler
How is Bruno F never injured, don’t think he’s missed an single game since he signed for them. Crazy. They’ve got very lucky in that respect.

It’s the same hole they have been digging for years, overpay and add to their already massively inflated wage bill for players that always seem to flop. The same reason they couldn’t shift Maguire to West Ham will be the same reason that Sancho won’t leave without a big pay off or a chunk of his wage paid still being paid by Man United. Their recruitment process has been broken for years, they bring these (most of the time over rated or not suited to their style and/or the PL) young players into a toxic environment and those players fail. leffe186
Just watching the Man U highlights. What a cracking first goal from Hojlund. Really wish we’d gone all out for him, although he’d presumably have chosen Man U anyway. Zaha goal just went in and was hilarious.
