Feels like we're going to be in a tit for tat battle with Villa, Bournemouth and Fulham potentially for the rest of the season. It's gonna feel like we can't drop points now if we want to secure 5th.

With Man City likely to have too much to finish outside of Top 4, we need to hope our good form continues and one of Forest or Chelsea to have a rough 2nd half season.

Even though the last few games have been incredible results, I actually think the upcoming games against Wolves and Bournemouth are the potential banana skins and are going to be a real test when expectations are to win. Hope the crowd doesn't take the opposition lightly and gives the team the backing it needs.

It's like they tried to be prime Barcelona for a year or two, fell short, decided that wouldn't ever work and so tried to be set piece experts and shithouses instead. That's not really working either. I'd boot Arteta personally, think he's out of excuses and ideas now. Their attempts to be cute and creative from these FKs are embarrassing.

im not sure sacking him would achieve much, if a really great manager was available. Tbh if they want to seriously challenge for the league they could drop over £200m for Isak who would double their goals and that Robinson left back from Fulham who would add a lot more left sided threat and then maybe its a title winning side. But i dunno if even with that could get the players...

The way they're trying to play generally Isak would spend his time chasing lost causes and trying to notch from daft set pieces. Horrible fit with their current philosophy.

Oh yeah. I dont think theyll win the league playing like they are unless everyone has a scrappy year.

I was honestly surprised to look earlier and see they had 40 points. They've been rotten to watch but reasonably effective in most games, not much of a return on 700m spent tbh

Have the Verona/Udinese game on in the background while I do some work and I've learned that Florian Thauvin now captains Udinese.

How is Lorenzo Lucca looking today?

Was very much watching in the background but seemed decent. Had a good header, Verona keeper kept them in the game.

You're most likely right, but Man City has beaten Leicester away and West Ham who loves to give struggling teams a W at home. I'd like to see how they do away at Brentford before concluding that they have turned their form around.
