I think a draw would be better but it's not the worst result - great seeing Villa being brought back down to earth :yao:

Nah, draw would’ve been not good. Villa defeat means we can draw an away game and they’re out of it because of our GD (if we win home games). Them drawing, meant if we drew an away game it wouldn’t have made any difference.

Is that good for us?!

Yes, its better to let City slip through the net pegging back Villa in the process rather than having both of them snapping on our heels, bearing in mind their vastly superior depth and kinder fixtures

Can see both sides I guess.

Maybe not having both teams lurking is better.

Pushes Villa further out.

Villa are now 7/1 to qualify. Newcastle are evens. It was a very good result. We just need to make sure we win Saturday whatever it takes.

Yes, city’s fixtures are easy. They will get top 5. Just need to stay as far ahead of Chelsea and Villa for me

100%

3rd, 4th or 5th doesn't matter. What matters is having a cushion over whoever is 6th & 7th and this result means we could be 5pts ahead of Villa with four to play.

Two of our rivals played tonight. Between them they accumulated 3 points, if it was a draw it would have been 2 points accumulated. How is Man City winning better than a draw!

Feel sick at the idea that Ipswich is a must win, I just do not handle such small margins well.

But this is what you watch football for, and it beats scraping 40 points and staving off relegation [emoji38]
