It's tough shit, Aston Villa's job is to do the right thing for Aston Villa. If West Ham don't like it they shouldn't have been shit for months.

How does this help Villa?  They still need points for CL

So what’s the plan by Emery here? To drag Forest right back into the relegation battle so they have to go full strength on Monday?  Get them knackered for the second leg…

I respect Emery for being ruthless enough to throw this tbh, even if I do hope they fail - Howe could learn a thing or two.

However, I find this faux-oblivious nonsense from the BBC maddening

Have to say I'm very surprised that Unai Emery has only made one change up to now.

Didn't realise how close to CL Villa are, it's basically done already tbh. Makes this utter disgrace of a game a bit more understandable.

If they have/Emery has decided this is the game to rest players, that's their/his decision to make.

And if it comes back to bite them on the arse, so be it. But as it stands today he's done what he thinks is right for his team. Whether that turns out to be the right decision, we'll find out over the coming weeks.

If they finish in the top 5 and win the Europa League they won't give a toss. If they don't finish in the top 5, obviously they'll point to this. But Emery can only make decisions based on the information he has and how he feels at a given time.

So fucking glad for thst win yesterday. Would be a brutal weekend if not.

Would definitely be getting nervous however, I just don’t see West Ham picking up any more than 3 points

West Ham will be even more up for it against us

they'll have lost to Arsenal by then and Spurs beat Leeds at home they'll be 4points adrift and would have to win to stay up

No chance Spurs go down now imo.

West Ham having Arsenal as one of their remaining fixtures and Spurs facing a Leeds team on the beach is too much.

I've stayed quiet after every win, but I've said it after every defeat.

The pressure must be on Emery

When Villa sell Rodgers to spurs in a few years from now  and moan, remember this  game. They had the chance to bury them but threw the game.

I'm obviously fucking raging with Villa, but West Ham have only got themselves to blame, they're utter muck.

They'll likely be cut adrift by the time we play them so I hope we skullfuck them silly as a punishment for robbing us of a Spurs relegation

Villa are hardly understrength here like. An eye on the Europa no doubt but the line up itself isn't weak.

A-fucking-men
