Don't get me wrong, Villa are a good side who will likely go on to qualify for the CL, but they're definitely getting the rub of the green at the moment.

They are a good side but seem to be carried by Rogers

That's it. Villa don't do that. They eke out every point available. They've been poor at times in this run - tonight they've been second best to a patched up Man U side, but they take their chances and defend well.

Their goal difference tells you as much. Emery just seems to get everything out of what he has in game.

We did the same in the season we finished fifth under Pardew. Finished with a GD of +5.

We just find a way to win even when we play badly, that’s what I like.

We were poor at home to wolves recently

but ground one out. We were then excellent against Arsenal.

You can’t win every match being brilliant every time. Ironically, given today’s opponents, over the years - until Ferguson left - Man United did exactly that season after season.

This team over the last few years, and especially this season, have given me the same excitement levels I had with Atkinson’s side, the league winners, and the first Saunders side (which was better than the league winners imo), and all those sides too knew several ways to win matches.

We have won 16 out of our last 18 matches in all competitions, that’s remarkable, no matter what armies of beard stroking XG loving YouTubers may think.

I just wish we hadn’t spent the first five matches being so shite.

That’s really not true. Rogers until 4 or 5 matches ago had been awful all season and the latter part of last season. Most of us (inc

me) could not believe Emery picked him every single match.

Cunts always do. Can't stand how lucky they get

Villa will struggle next year in the league (as we do) when they get into the champions league again. Shame really as we could both disrupt the top 6 every year if it not for financial restrictions.

I don't think they will struggle too much.

They did until March. They were 10th by the end of February.

They didn’t over the course of a full season though, finished just outside the champions league spots, cup semi and champions league quarter finals.
