Dr.Spaceman
14 minutes ago, Stifler said: It fucks it up for next season as well. There is a good chance that none of the relegated clubs from last season get promoted this season. If that’s the case then how many of the clubs who come up are going to be strong enough to mount a challenge? Our friends on Wearside say hello
tarie4
10 minutes ago, Stifler said: How? Leeds are 8 points clear of West Ham with a game in hand. I know that we think we should beat them tomorrow night, but they have played some big names recently and managed to pick up points. Leeds are possibly only 14 points away from safety now. They need less than 14 points imo.. 30 points should be about enough to stay up this season.

They do, but if you are Leeds you are probably still looking at that 36 point marker.
LFEE
That disallowed goal for West Ham seems very harsh.

But Sunderland have shown everyone exactly how to build a side and stay up first time round. If they can do it there is no reason why Coventry, Boro etc can't do it also. At least 4 relatively shite sides will stay up this season.

Not Bowen, I get the feeling he'd happily do a year in the Championship to help them get promoted. Mane at Wolves looks a talent but that's based on the highlights of him v West Ham last weekend and the match away to Man Utd before that. Only 18 too I think. Superior Acuña
Need to think it through but I'd scrap those offsides like the one West Ham got penalized for tonight. He comes backwards - no forward advantage is gained. Or at least scrap VAR intervention in them.
midds
Bit sly shoving Soucek out there to face the the post-match interview, where's the captain?

Nucasol
Nuno’s two striker signings looked atrocious. I’d sack him on the spot for lumbering the club with the Primera Liga plodder who was blowing out his arse after 20 minutes.

For all his faults, binning off Callum Wilson (a proven prem goalscorer when fit, which he has been for them) in favour of two expensive randoms seems an all-time terrible idea

I think this is part of the problem with the last couple of seasons, when promoted sides went straight back down with barely a whimper. It maybe left a few premier league teams who would have been just about alright with being out of danger feeling pretty complacent, when they were actually circling the drain. But as a result becoming prone to relegation if anyone actually did come up and show some fight. Like Leeds, which won't be an easy game.

Like @Superior Acuña says the lad is even going away from goal to collect the ball from the tackle. Just seems very harsh and not what offside to me is about.
