I hope this Man City turn up for the second leg of the cup semi

Irrelevant. Have you seen our run of games before the second leg?

Wouldn't be surprised if we have half a team of academy players needing to fill in by the time we get to the City game.

My Scottish team knock out Premier league Hibernian with a last minute own goal in the Scottish Cup. Fucking come on.

Only caught the stoppage time and the goal of course. One the the scruffiest goals I've ever seen which made it all the more dramatic. Enjoyed it. Well done.

NGL it's very sobering this, just to remind everyone they are 750m in debt and spent so much with no negative impact. The rules absolutely stink.

Whilst Sheffield Wednesday are basically just fulfilling fixture obligations waiting for the relegation that was certain from the start to be confirmed.

"One word to describe that, 'Special'.

All of a sudden the gap is closed and next Sunday becomes season a six pointer, and you know what, I wouldn't put it past this United side to get and all three points against Arsenal.

'Special'.

[emoji38] his voice is so grating, but I could hear it with every single word you’ve typed there.

To think they were down in like 16th last year aswell. Still were able to spend fortunes in the summer, snap up players we wanted and able to attract them ahead of us even though we won a cup and had Cl. Also them getting knocked out of all cups early whilst having no European football income aswell.

Yet they will finish top 5 possibly now and everyone will just accept that Man U are "back" and they will spend another fortune in the summer like the last few years didn't happen.

Yup absolutely which is fine right, however rules are in place to prevent others spending because spending is tide to revenue and not profit with outside investment also banned. It's an absolute farce.

I must have imagined our CB’s high up in their half and Big Joe and Bruno up in their box beyond the front line at times.

Carry on twisting and moaning to your heart’s content mate. It’s obviously your MO on here.

PSV seem to give you more joy and you can’t stand everything about NUFC

Bizarre thing to get yourself worked up about because we have a difference of opinion on a football forum

We aren't pressing teams in the same way we used to. Stevie Wonder could see that ffs!

If my "twisting amd moaning" offends you so much just stick me on ignore sweet cheeks x

Pretty obvious why we can't press like we used to however. Saw you earlier say "the tiredness excuse". I mean it's a fact though no? Just like what happened in 23/24. Our squad then and now, cannot cope fighting on 4 fronts.

We have improved ever so slightly from that season in a sense that we are higher in the league than we were then, been abit better this go round in CL and still in both cups as it stands.

But to see the week we had before the City first leg and say the "tiredness excuse" is a strange take. The players did well to be in the game as much as they were all things considered on Tuesday. With better finishing I think we still should have got more from the game. But physically they gave as much as they could.

Just wait until @Froggy pokes his nose in here. [emoji38]

Look, it's one game. A derby, our best players back from AFCON, new manager bounce etc. I'm not going to read too much into it because that would be very silly.

But fuck me I've never seen City slapped like that before. That was a slaughter. 3/4 great saves from Donnarumma, three disallowed goals, post, crossbar. An absolute mauling.

Give Carrick the keys to Manchester IYAM.

We press nowhere near as effectively as we used to. Teams play through us much more easily than they used to.

And that's going back to the start of the season,.not just Tuesday night.

The only reason we dropped points at the start of the season was a lack of a striker. Was painfully obvious. But you got back to alot of those early games like the villa away and we were by far the better team and defensively sound just we couldn't score at all in the early games. Maybe still weren't pressing as aggressive but players were still building up sharpness after preseason as happens with most teams and bedding in new signings.

Then the fixture pile up begins and wouldn't you know, we can't press as intensely as we did in the seasons we had no European football.

They did for the first leg, we were just too wasteful to make it count. Contrast Mbuemo's finish with Wissa's efforts in the first half.

I'm not having a go at Wissa, every striker has an off day, but at this level you have to finish when you get the chance if you want to win the game.
