Aye, easy to criticise it until you get reminded what it was like before it came in.

This was like having VAR but still not getting it right. So pretty much like just having VAR.

Difficult game, we weren't at our best and Bournemouth just came to defend. Happy to get through it

Hilarious how we brought ASM and they completely shit the bed by bringing on another right back while the one on the pitch scored an own goal

There was very little to be impressed by across the whole game really, but a great result and looking forward to the draw now. The only stand-out performer for us was Pope imo, with our very best players showing as many brilliant moments as they did brainfarts.

We were hanging on a wee bit but it would have been a travesty had we not won. Bournemouth came with the exact same mentality they did earlier in the season, so it was very satisfying that we didn't give them the satisfaction of doing another job on us.

Tough grind but we absolutely deserved to win.

We’re still capable of turning in some very blunt performances from time to time.

That said, could easily have won 3-0 and no complaints.

Botman was unreal, the guy can’t be a human, never makes a mistake ever.

Bournemouth's two corners were hilariously dreadful

Was it Forest in the opening game of the season that tried having all their players run from the half way line only for Pope to just to easily collect the ball?

We were easily the better side and just lacked a cutting edge, which has been an issue that crops up from time to time but thankfully once Botman and Schar got to grips with the Ogre up front, we were pretty cosy.

A few players looked off it, Miggy, Trippier and Willock. On the other hand, Bruno, Joelinton and Wilson looked lively.

Interesting that Joelinton out wide works in some games more than others. He was much better when moved centrally.

ASM looked sharp too. I felt we didn't get the ball to him enough.

He’s far more effective against bigger teams out there IMO. Think that’ll always happen until the end of the season too. The  Joe’s and ASM rotating depending on opponent.

Wut

Look, we probably lost a Wilson goal and a possible penalty for hand ball.  That's all you can take from the 90 minutes of officiating?  You didn't see the ref play advantage numerous times?  He had a very good game.

Am absolutely knackered and haven’t got the energy to do a trawl or find the highlights right now. I was in level 7 but we should have had a stonewall penalty for handball no? And was Wilson off? I couldn’t understand why it took so long for the linesman / referee to call it. It must have been marginal as fuck if it was off.

Thoughts on the game:

Trippier’s passing was very loose, as was Willock’s a few times. Bruno was back to controlling the midfield and big Jow did some of his usual tidy-up duties. Thought we held onto the ball too long looking for the perfect pass which was never on as they had 11 men behind the ball but overall can’t complain as we controlled the game and were bound to be rusty after a period off.

now, let’s do Leicester

Botman is most likely an AI version of a footballer from the future. He’s so

machine like in every way, his defending, his facial expressions, his way of talking

Even absolutely perfect match aside from those two decisions would mean he was shite. It's a sport where games often end 0-0 or 1-0, you just can't get decisions like that so wrong.
