You would imagine that for as many points that we will drop for the rest of this season Liverpool will match it, if not do worse. Closing a 7 or maybe 10 point gap? Wouldn't have thought so. Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea will always have bags of cash, attract players and be competitive but spurs could struggle. Ultimately if you want Newcastle to sit in the top 6 or 4 consistently it helps if one of the others implodes a bit This is probably for a different thread, but I think Chelsea have a real chance of imploding if they stay out of the CL for another season or two. I wouldn't group them with the other two.

They've spunked loads on bad value for money signings following the world cup and aren't giving managers a chance. Their ownership are royally fucking it. They'll do well to get any European football this season, next season - who knows, but they face some real stiff opposition now. I know they've signed players over 8 years or whatever but 2 or 3 years of missing our on Europe could fuck them.

midds
Compare that performance to the shambles from Spurs last night. Chalk and cheese. We're doing this 100%
Colos Short and Curlies
Basically 4 ahead of spurs with a game in hand and then still to come to SJP. win that one and I don’t see them winning 2 and drawing 1 more than us from their other 8 games especially as we have the safety net of an additional game

timeEd32
I am now very excited / anxious, but far from confident. An injury to Botman / Schar / Trippier / Bruno (who we still haven't won without) could crush us.
wormy
I'm in an excitable mood so I'll bump my 5 to a 5.5.
Decky
Still a long way to go but fuck if we beat either Brentford or Villa I'll be confident. Only 3 away games left after this run in.
Decky
Definitely looks like its 2 from 3, possibly 4 now. Amazing that we've got both Spurs and Brighton at home as well. All in our hands.
LiquidAK
Spurs v Brighton at the weekend. If that’s a draw and we don’t lose to Brentford I’ll be feeling massively confident

BennyBlanco
Ya know it might sound daft, we’re 11 points behind City yeah, I can think of 11 points we’ve dropped this year that could easily have gone another way. We ain’t a million miles away from a really interesting, competitive side. A couple more pieces and Eddie to polish another turd into a diamond and we’re in the mix. Kid Icarus
10 games to go and not just 4th, but fucking 3rd in our hands, a game in hand, and a beastly goal difference Ridiculous, even if it doesn't end up happening.

Mazzy
Last home game against Leicester will be a hell of a party if we keep up this form. Could have it tied up by then if all goes our way.
