Not too bad that Forest and Chelsea play on the last day tbh. Unless a draw is enough for both

It's actually bad if we lose to chelsea at home though as they won't really need to win it.

True, but if we lose then we probably haven’t been good enough this season for CL.

One point changes it from 1/4 to 1/50? Shows how close it is and makes me think of the little things that would have gotten us one or two extra points. Gordon’s horrendous penalty against Everton away being the main one.

Just been thinking similar, but it really has been swings and roundabouts this season. I'd say we're about even for performance in matches we should have won vs matches we should have have lost.

We have, that's why were in 4th. What will fuck us over is not being able to replace Joelinton.. Slot playing that shambles also didn't help our cause either, like.

It's called optimistic, not arrogant.

Otherwise you just end up being a negative twat all the time.

Thinking you might lose to Ipswich or Brentford is being negative. Chelsea are a good team, with some very dangerous players. Yes we can beat them but given the players they've got, it's no easy task. I just find it odd that people think they have somehow turned into a shit team.

As much as I want CL I can live with Europa League if that happens and we can miraculously keep Isak. The thought of us ending up in that Conference garbage is sickening, even though it is probably a 1 in 100 chance at this point.

It's not just that. City have an easier run in with no competitors to play.

What has fcked us over is this being an awful season when it comes to title race and relegation with them both being over more that half the league has nothing to fight for. Which leads to results like today with Liverpool who could have easily beat this Chelsea team.

 Europa would be a great platform to build off, and we'd automatically be one of the favourites to win it.

Would have snapped your hand off for a League Cup win and Europa qualification at the start of the season.

Results from the top 11 compared to the bottom 9 are ridiculous:

image.png.54665378315f827a014e097eaecc3783.png

19 points from 18 games so far (35.2% of the points, 1.06 ppg). Compared to...

44 points from 17 games. (86% of the points available, 2.59 ppg). We've smashed the garbage but really struggled against better teams

Eddie's gone too far in fixing the "we only turn up in big games" criticism

The point for us today was massive, just staying ahead of Chelsea, even if on GD was significant

If Palace grab a result tomorrow then with 3 games to go for all teams we'll be looking decent

Today is hardly a disaster, a point was always going to be a decent result. For me it's 50/50 between us and Chelsea, next week's game is massive, but a point wouldn't be awful there either. I see Forest and Villa as the teams we can stay ahead of even if we don't beat Chelsea.

Villa away to Bournemouth is no easy game for them!

Villa and Forest playing tough away games before we face Chelsea should give us a good idea of what is needed. Villa draw and Forest loss then a point again Chelsea will be fine.

Forest’s away game is a game in hand, they play lager on the Sunday at home to Leicester, so I would be disappointed with a draw even if the two results this week go well.

Every side in top 7 will drop points between now and end of season (not including when teams play each other).

City won't and I don;t think Villa will either.  We need 69 points includign a win against Chelsea and we will be fine, anything at Arsenal will be a bonus.

I really want us and Forest to get CL, with Villa and Chelsea missing out.

We both need to beat Chelsea and make them sack another manager and start the cycle again

it was a bad week results wise for us so far

In fact I think if we beat Chelsea and Everton, baring a massive swing in goal difference between us Forest and Villa we are mathmatically guaraanteed top 5.

Not much has changed. Need to beat Chelsea and Everton.

Good point in the end. I’m 90% confident 68 points gets it done.  I’m 99.9% certain 69 points gets it done. We are on track for 69 points.

Massive game next week.
