I thought that but it did pop up on the screen after he got carded that he misses the next 2 games

They’ve messed it up then. He was definitely safe before this weekend, just like Joelinton.

Just tried looking at other team’s fixtures thinking how we would do.

I think we would get 9 to 10 points across the board.

So that’s our target I think for top 5. 3 home wins and an away draw. Although we have 1 or 2 points more than other teams currently, so the 9 points should/might be enough.

I did a predictor where I gave us losses to Villa, Brighton and Arsenal and leaned in favour of our rivals for most of their games and we still finished 4th.

Should win 4 out of 5. At least 3. A draw at Brighton or vs Chelsea would probably not be the end of the World. Don't expect owt from Arsenal.

I'm not so sure, we've beaten them 3 times already this season, home and away and I think by the time we play them they'll have nothing to play for, won't be able to finish any higher than 2nd of lower than maybe 3rd by that point, where as we could still be battling for that CL spot. We'll see but I fancy us for the win again.

Before feeling utterly stupid about our absurd overconfidence as Maddison shaped to shoot at the Leazes end.

And Popey pumped a fucking brilliant save.

it was Maddison cross for Castagne no?

Personally think our schedule isnt bad at all.

Ipswich (H)

One of the easiest you can get.

Brighton (A)

In very poor form and doesnt have Pedro for this game.

Chelsea (H)

Not looking great and are playing the semi final in the conferance league semi-final 3 days before our game. 8pm Thursday and 12pm Sunday. Thats not a lot of rest, we just saw how that worked out for us.

Arsenal (A)

We do seem to have their number and they will maybe have secured the 2nd place and have their head focused on the CL final. But hopefully we dont need anything here.

Everton (H)

Tarkowski out injured. Should be able to get a win here if needed. Last game of the season and the fans will be pushing the players on.

Tbf we should have put Brighton away in the first half of the league game and although the cup game was much more even, having automated offsides rather than the lines, quite possibly did us over with the Schar goal.

Understand the apprehension given our most recent performances down there but it’s not as tough a game as some seem to think IMO.

The only team who I can see winning all their remaining games is Man City, and that’s more down to the fact that they are used to doing those stupid runs.

Aston Villa are on 7 wins in a row, just like our 6 wins in a row, something has to give. You don’t get 13 wining games runs from a team finishing 4th/5th.

Other teams will still drop points. I can actually see us winning our next 2 games, and going into the Chelsea match knowing that a win or draw would guarantee us 5th.

Chelsea have a very difficult fixtures. They wont win both Liverpool and Everton, most likely neither. They most likely will not win at Forest or at SJP. That already leaves them behind. Villa and City play each other.  City has easy fixtures and will certainly get UCL. I think we are clear with home wins.

3 home wins will absolutely guarantee it, no doubt in my head, but it’ll be a nervy last day. Would much prefer to go all out to get it done in the next 3.

If Howe is back (after Ipswich), I think we win the next 3.

Round 36 is going to be absolutely massive, us v Chelsea & Villa away to Bournemouth. Forest have Leicester at home, never underestimate the underdogs in a derby, as we well know.

Not to pick holes but I'd be shocked if this is the order come the final day. This is the least likely placement imho.

Yeah, I've got Villa beating Man City, which shakes it up a fair bit.

No way City finishes outside the top 5 imo
