We are not getting 5th. I’d be just as happy finishing 6th.

Hopefully it'll mean the same thing with Man City punting the bald hag into orbit on cup final day.

It's unlikely, but Burnley will give it all against Spurs next weekend, because they play Forest at home in the last game. If they manage to beat Spurs, there is still hope for them, because the Forest game vs Chelsea will be played after that game. Spurs look horrible, and after Burnley they play Man City. We have a better GD. If Spurs somehow lose to Burnley and we beat Brighton at home, then it's far from unrealistic.

That’s the spirit. Very unlikely yes I totally agree. But I ain’t giving up on it as long as there is a slim chance, even if very slim.

Eddie won’t be!

Often the case that teams, once they're relegated, play with a bit more freedom and produce the odd result that you just wouldn't have thought possible a few weeks earlier. I'm certain Spurs will be feeling the pressure after 4 straight losses and pressure does funny things to players, especially when they're wearing that Spurs shirt. They should beat them both but you never know, 3 or 4 points may not be enough

Us being where we are, 4 points off Spurs in 5th at this point is the achievement imo. 1 point if we beat Brighton, even better.

If we won every game and they somehow managed to fuck up beating Burnley and Sheff United I think that would top anything I've seen from either of the North London bottlers. It would be unprecedented and I just can't see it.

It's been an incredibly difficult, frustrating season but a remarkably successful one in the circumstances and one where we've still played some cracking football.

I think finishing 3rd in what had been a two-horse race will take some topping like.

I'm absolutely of the opinion that if we beat Brighton we will have done enough for top 7. Anything beyond that gives us a chance at 6th and at an absolute punt 5th.

Man United have no defence tommorow and Palace will be well up for it.

Also a pretty tidy team right now. They absolutely can get a result.

‘Despite Palace racking up a Premier League record 43 shots, Scott McTominay’s 93rd minute winner was the difference between the teams’

Spurs needed CL football more than anyone imo. Man Utd and Chelsea will be back at some point. Think they've blown their "big 6" status in the long term the way they've finished the season.

They don’t.

They can still afford a huge summer spending spree because they are so far away from the upper limits of FFP currently. New laws and existing laws.

Aston Villa are right up against it with the current FFP laws and the next. They need the CL money.

I think they needed it massively, for their reputation more than anything. I just think they'll slip to regular 7-10th placed finishes for a while now. CL football might have given them one last shot at it.

They can keep outspending us and Villa for some time to come.

Spurs spend the lowest wages-to-revenue ratio in the league I believe. Villa are right up against the limits.
