Feels like Villa are slipping out of it, one more bad result could do them in for good. I don’t think Fulham have a chance at top 5. I don’t think Brighton will make it. Man City will obviously make top 5 so it’s between Forest, Chelsea, us and Bournemouth I think

Think that’s coming down. Diaby, Carlos and other sales would be on big wages.

And the revenue will take a massive increase.

They won’t make both of those sales permanent.

Duran and CL is £100m+.  They can spend in the summer no doubt. No need to sell.

Haven't they added Rashfords 325k a week for half a season. Also Asensio, Disasi, malen and Garcia. They will need to sell definitely. Sell Watkins make the Rashford deal permanent.

Losing to Brentford next game will put them under a ton of pressure, especially after a Champions League match. Their league form after Champions League games has been terrible.

Without looking at our fixtures, I believe we have

Man United H

Ipswich H

Chelsea H

Everton H

These are about as good as fixtures as I could have asked for... my reasoning is that 3 of them are sides I'd expect the crowd and team to be well up for and Ipswich are piss poor.

On the other hand

Liverpool A

Arsenal A

Villa A

Are games we really need to fight for anything we can get. 3 points from them would be a good return.

(I know we have more fixtures than that, they are just ones I've picked out.)

The trick is to make sure the wins in those fixtures minimum are Chelsea and Villa. Probably stating the obvious.

What in the Alan Pardew is Villa's GD by the way?

They've just won three on the spin to end the relegation talk, but Tottenham are still well down the league on +15.

Would also throw Brighton away in as a game where we will struggle to get points

Nah.  I know they're not in good form.  But it is still extremely tight, with a lot of these teams still to play each other.  I think, I've not checked everyone's fixtures.

Brighton got slapped 7-0 by Forest not long ago.  Now they're on a bit of a run and look right back in it.

I'm one of the worst for it.  But it's why we shouldn't get too low off a loss at the minute and not assume the performance defines us.  It is so tight 3rd to 10th and it seems like everyone bar Liverpool and Everton  are now struggling for consistency.

Villa have got quite a hard run in and already 2 games ahead of us as well

Brighton Brentford Bournemouth City away are 4 tough games

Us at home isn't a walkover over for them thesedays.

Then the 2 of the shite big 6

Add in the champions league last 16 and possible quarter final

They'll do very well to get top 5 this season

Agreed.

When you then add in Brentford (h), palace (h), West Ham (a) and Leicester (a) then we have a favourable set of fixtures for our run in.

Hopefully 20 to 24 points from these games which should be enough for at least 5th.

Palace at home is an underrated game in terms of difficulty when you look at the away league table

Albeit there is an argument to say it’s slightly misleading as they still have to go to us, Arsenal, Man City, Spurs and Liverpool.

The margins are very fine. Need the North London clubs to win tonight.  Cant see them doing so though.

Tottenham are in decent form right now and have a really good record against Man City. I think they have a decent chance tonight.

Edit: Decent form might be a stretch, but 3 wins in a row is good.

We're definitely getting Europe of some sort!

I'm not so sure, yeah we are capable of beating Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd in successive aways but can also turn in the Man City aways, Bournemouth and Fulhams at home.

It's getting close to looking at other clubs remaining fixtures time.
