Newcastle United 0-0 Leeds United (31/12/2022)

Really frustrating, not helped by a shocking ref that let them away with murder. On another day that's a comfortable win and they have a player or two sent off

Pope: 7

Trippier: 6.5

Schar: 7

Botman: 7

Burn: 7.5

Bruno: 6.5

Willock: 6.5

Longstaff: 5

Joelinton: 6.5

Wood: 6.5

Almiron: 7.5

Well that was shit, Howe needs to find a different way of playing against teams that just defend and we need players that can unlock such teams. Happy with a clean sheet, disappointed we failed to beat that shite and many of our players didn’t turn up. It’s been an amazing 2022 though so well done to the gaffer, his staff and the team. Now let’s smash it in the transfer market if we are to maintain a top four position. Oh and the ref was absolutely fucking awful and Leeds, dirty Leeds!

Could have scored anywhere from 1 - 5 on a different day. 2.01 xG to .47 for Leeds. It’s frustrating but it happens.

City have 74% possession against Everton. 1.65 xG to 0.09. (Not that we are anywhere near City)

My biggest takeaway from today is Longstaff has to be replaced.

This is why we still need to get  stronger.  Our finishing was not good.  It’s still a point and we can expect more of these results.  We have been on an incredible run.  It couldn’t last forever.  Keep building.  Lots a matches to play.

Man City drawing at home against Everton. These matches happens.

Not too dissapointed really. More glad to be in a position generally speaking where teams like Leeds celebrate a point like a win against us.

Lot of attempts on goal but honestly an awful performance tbh

Nah, nowhere near awful. We win that game most times (8-9 out of 10 games), just lacked the finishing today.

Honestly, the conditions didn’t help.  Our passing was just a fraction off all game, and I think the driving rain and sodden pitch played a part in that.

Still have to take one of those multiple chances mind.  Leeds are starting to feel like a bogey team at SJP, which is annoying as I (like most right-thinking Geordies) utterly detest the cunts
