Anthony Gordon (now playing for FC Barcelona)

Recommended Posts

A rare transfer that works for everyone I think.

We've got an excellent deal on a player who wasn't looking to hang around, and in a summer where we need cash to reinvest.

Gordon gets a move to the biggest club that he could possibly get and is on a league where he will post immense numbers.

Barcelona get a player who will score bucket loads in La Liga and who suits champions League football - and despite the fee being good for us is not astronomical for them.

ManU get Rashford back

Liverpool have lost an option to replace Salah

People complaining about the thread title [emoji38]

Just blatantly trying to make everything as negative as possible.

It's hilarious/pathetic

Relentless whinging has to be draining.

Good deal as he wants to leave and we need the money.

Do think we will miss him though. His attitude has been called into question since the Liverpool and he clearly thinks he’s an elite player, but he’s been really good for us imo. His first full season he was a brilliant player to watch.

For those upset about the price just know that the average Barcelona supporter is absolutely raging at how much they are spending on him.

NO is never happy about anything, remember.

Because they usually get given players after pleading poverty.

Barcelona fans got to watch the greatest team of all time and nearly two decades of the greatest player of all time, and they are still largely unhappy (at least online).

We had a period of relative level-headedness before all the fucking emos took over.

Job's a good'un. Decent fee, sell-on fee, cunts gone etc. Youth and potential on that left wing please. How much Wolves want for Mane? Probs more than the Gordon sale aye?

Aye. Having to pay the going rate for a player in this day and age. God forbid them.

Edwards said the other day that he’s definitely staying at Wolves.

Not sure how much say he’d have if a decent bid came in for him like.

How's this happening when the transfer window isn't open yet?

I don't know the details behind it, but a press report from Martin Hardy mentioned that the deal could be concluded now, and then he officially moves on June 15 once the PL window is officially open.

Although I'm a bit confused by even that bit, as the La Liga transfer window doesn't open till July 1st apparently.

Maybe you can legally agree a transfer early, and then it just goes through to be formally registered once your league's transfer window is open or something.

I'm about as indifferent about this as I was when he first arrived. Decent player, bit too self serving for my liking, but seems to be a nice lad. However, one that will never live up to his early potential at Everton. He is far to inconsistent and lack ability on the ball to take us to the next level.

I don't think we'd ever see the 23/24 version of Gordon here again, so better for all parties to part ways amicably and with a sizable fee to reinvest and hopefully improve our squad.

He’s become an England regular and is signing for Barcelona.

How much potential did people think he had?
