Tsunami
He needs to be told he’s playing on the right and to suck it up and be professional. If he asks why then show him his finishing compared to Barnes’. If he does want to leave, let him go and use the money to buy someone who does want to play RW. I’m hoping it’s just a blip but he’s a shadow of last season with the most noticeable difference being attitude.
AyeDubbleYoo
Think it’s a bit early to tell him to fuck off like. He’s a quality player and probably all-round better than Barnes. We need to maximise them both.
Decky
If it was acceptable to bench Barnes for a few games then it should be the same for Gordon. If Barnes put in performances like this we probably wouldn't see him start another game until November.
toon25
He's absolutely not a RW or a CF.
Menace
If someone told me Barnes would ahead of Gordon on the starting line up and Gordon would be underperforming a few months ago I'd tell you to lay off the spice
Sufi
I doubt it’s due to liverpool or playing on the RW. The whole team looks off. Bruno was yelling and celebrating winning throw ins. Joe was dominating teams physically in every single 50/50. I could go on but it’s a player who hasn’t had a summer off in 2 years and plays a very physically demanding style. He has had a dip in energy and form and enthusiasm like the rest of the side. He was god awful today but I think it’s silly to assume he’s playing like shit to go to liverpool. If that’s the case Bruno is doing the same to go to madrid. Gallowgate Toon
I do think he is main character syndroming a bit rather than phoning it in. One thing that made him so good last season was he made decisions in terms of runs and passes for the team's benefit so well. I can't say it feels like that this season. joeyt
I don't think Gordon playing off Isak with Barnes on the left is the worst idea to be honest. Worked well for a period in the second half

David Edgar
He needs a spell on the bench until he is motivated and fit.

et tu brute
His attitude today actually stunk as there were at least three occasions when he made fuck all effort for the ball.
Conjo
Howe was straight on him to give him a pat on the back and seemingly some encouraging words at half time, but tune changed when he was taking him off, clearly signalling to him to hurry the fuck up as he was strolling off at a time we were chasing the equalizer. Worst I’ve seen him. Most disinterested. Most unprofessional of him. Needs to know where his bread is buttered before he gets a woody over dreams of winning us the World Cup! (Hopefully just a bad day at the office?).

Jordan
I think it’s all mental. Maybe started to believe his own hype a bit after a fantastic season. He was busting a gut for England so it’s not a fitness issue.
gbandit
No idea what's happening here. Wonder if he's going through a hard time off the pitch / his mental health. Howe put an arm round him at half time and Gordon looked a bit gutted. Whole thing is very odd. Hopefully he's back to himself very soon
