Kanj
Everyone keeps saying he should stay on…But maybe he was gassed? in any case I think he’s fucking class and can’t wait to see him continue to develop.
christ
He’s class. Every time he ran at TAA they looked terrified. Huge mistake to take him off.
dcmk
Him and Lewis Hall on the wing is going to be a dangerous combination going forward.

He wasn’t gassed. He’s out run TAA. Deserved to be the winning scouser today.
Holloway
His best performance so far, electric movement and drive, and perhaps a notion ahead of his teamates

It was certainly a standard, pre-planned substitution. Regular for him to come off at that time. Whether he NEEDED to is open to debate though... The club do all sorts of things like taking regular bloods to assess individual player workloads, so I'm reticent to say it was a terrible choice to bring him off. But we definitely suffered from it. Hope he doesn't have a daft reaction to today's defeat. Feel like today's result will reverberate throughout much of the team. We need to stick together. Menace
He's going to be a complete superstar. The guy grafts his bollocks off and isn't terrified to take a man on. Some fine tuning and £40m will look like peanuts.
LiquidAK
Brilliant today - had "Trent" shitting himself from minute 1.
Ronson333
It’s his movements with the ball that have impressed me more than his dribbling, really intelligent and seems to catch defences off guard. That thing he does running with the ball in field into the gaps and doesn’t even have to beat a man and then plays the through ball. SiLvOR
Thoroughly enjoyed him demolishing that fraud TAA. Such a shame his goal didn't contribute to a win, he must have felt on top of the world at that point.

Says good things that he was selected to do media after the game. Although, I'd say the mentality isn't quite right to be talking about trying to get us up there 'with the top teams'. It circles around the issue of us struggling to transition mentally from underdogs to proper contenders. But that's no slight on Gordon right now. dcmk
If this lad didn't score his one on one, wonder how the forum would be feeling towards this guy. Similar to the Almiron thread?
pubteam
A real shining light today, was disappointed he got taken off and we looked much worse for it.
OverThere
Gordon was really good today. Looks like he is starting to show his value.
Gallowgate Toon
Think one of the big weaknesses of his when we signed him was that he didn't attempt many dribbles and/or wasn't very successful at it either but he's been the opposite this season. AyeDubbleYoo
He was class today. Mistake to take him off because he retains possession and moves the ball as well as threatening in attack.

His general use of the ball is so good for our possession, such an underated aspect of his game. Was a huge loss for us when he went off, but he does play with so much intensity that he was definitely flagging and probably did need replacing. Amir_9
Phenomenal today, nice to see the determination, drive and hard work. Think we'll really appreciate this lad.
Oregon_Geordie
Really impressive today, nice that he can go both inside and outside, he trusts his own skill to drop in on his right or his pace to go wide.

Similar to the Almiron thread? Thing is, Gordon’s in his early 20s and is already looking like a very, very good player. With Almiron we know he’s not the type of player to take us to the next level and is pushing 30.

Similar to the Almiron thread? But he did score though mate I know the point you're making, but in the Premier League, especially at the top level, it's not about what might have happened. I love Miggy, but Gordon's on a goal and an assist and overall has been involved in a lot of best moments in these first few games. We're moving away from the days of Ashley whereby the squad was small and we had to embrace the lads faults because it was all about stopping up. We've got huge aspirations and every place higher in the league earns us more dosh and opens up more opportunities for the club. It's not like say Wilson where he's begging Barnes to play him in. Miggy had three big chances. One was an outrageous save, but the other two have to be seen as poor finishes in the cold light of day.
