11 draws man. Wonder if we can smash the all time record

We already hold the joint record for a 38 game season (17 in 03/04) with Villa and the Mackems.

I dunno about anyone else, but I think a point away against a side fighting for their lives is always a good point, even better when your squad is getting thinner by the game

What about 3  points against 3 teams fighting for their lives with the Leeds and West Ham?

If you don’t take them 3 points then

You have to be honest and call a spade a spade, that was absolutely shit. We look knackered.

Pope: 7

Trippier: 6.5

Schär: 5.5

Botman: 5

Burn: 4

Joelinton: 6

Longstaff: 5

Willock: 5

Almiron: 6

Isak: 5.5

ASM: 5

Gordon: 6

Brutal, but mostly accurate. Too high for Gordon, Trippier, and ASM. Burn really was poor.

Stop sugar coating this and call it for what it was, we were poor.

Nobody is suggesting otherwise, but can you manage the unthinkable and cast your mind back just over 12 months ago and remember what used to happen to us when the team as a whole was poor?

Getting a point away and not getting beat when you’re bang out of form is the sign of a good organised team.

it’s as if the fact that our creative output drops massively when Bruno is out of the team is coming as a shock to some on here

We are still 4th top with only 1 defeat still. Been a fucking tremendous season and no wonder the players look shattered. Shows how much we have come on as a team when we can still avoid losing games when we are not at our best. I’ll take a point away from home against anyone all day long.

With Bruno out we just end up with too many people that don't use the ball well enough in the final third.

Pushing Joelinton back to the number 6 spot actually limits our creativity going forward as he does often get involved in creating good passages of play with others that leads to chances being created.

Having ASM, Almiron, Willock and Longstaff supporting the striker is just too infuriating. At least one of them is going to do something daft to mess things up almost every single time.

Gordon improved things and has to start next game for one of those lot. Might also have to play Longstaff deep and push Joelinton into one of the more forward positions.

Think this is a general consequence at the lack of rotation we've seen and something Howe will need to figure out next season, imo. Feels like players were figuring eachother out in the attacking lineup.

We miss Bruno when we're the dominant possession side.

We have fuck all squad depth though. Look at the options we pick off the bench. Murphy who offers nothing, then Anderson who needs a year or so out to a Championship side before he can attempt to make the step up.

Poor performance but all round bad day.

Injuries to Wilson, Maxi, Almiron, Willock and Joelinton’s card. Just fucking miserable.

The second paragraph is worse than the result and performance, for me.

We just don’t have Premier League quality back ups to replace any of them long term.

Joelinton will be a huge miss for 2 games. Whoever they end up being against.

Willock’s looked like a hammy. Which isn’t ideal for someone who relies on pace and you’d imagine will be a few weeks, at least.

ASM is made of glass and gets injured too often. So expect him to be out for a while.

Almiron? Fuck knows. Kept holding his wrist. Hopefully just a slight sprain.

Our issues definitely aren't ones that are solved by bringing in one or two players, the entire team looks shattered.

This is the downside to high intensity, high pressing. Works absolutely brilliantly when everyone is fit and fresh but long term after months of doing it, it takes it out of you.

There's not many teams who can do it week in week out without going through a stage where they look shattered, or at worst just losing that tempo completely.

Team average 5.5 or so, and Howe 4? You think the players did better than expected based on Howe set up the team and managed the game?

No, don't be deliberately dumb.

I think lots of players under-performed.  Some played well.  Howe didn't do a good job today.

Bournemouth didn't look great technically, but they are athletic and at times they were too quick for us.

Gordon has to start next week. We need his pace and movement. Isak played better as the game went on, partly because he was able to roam around a bit, with more players getting into the penalty area.

Dan Burn is really struggling, and he nearly gave the game away at the end.

Still, there was a time not long ago when drawing away was a decent result.
