Lotus
Wonder if Miley gets a run of games at RB now instead of Murphy. If EH thinks he’s ready it would be great for his development. Work on his tackling and defensive positioning. Also gives him some time and space to get his head up and play some forward balls.

I'd definitely trust him there ahead of Murphy.

EH isn’t big on trusting young players even if the older or more established players are hugely off form or just crap/barely doing anything on the pitch (see Isak last year). Just hope Miley is ready. Would benefit so much from more starts.
Nucasol
Quite happy to see him start there for now (next 3-6 games). Presuming Trippier and Krafth should be in some position to return at that point (mid Jan). Ultimately they needed to get fresh blood in at full back regardless with Krafth and Trippier contracts expiring in the summer. If Shahar isn’t getting the nod now like Miley did in 23/24 then EH is unlikely to see him as ready until next season.
toon25
Probably at full back vs. Neto, Etevao or whoever other cunt Chelsea brought in for a kings ransom then
Benwell Lad
Assuming he is at RB again today it will be interesting to see the shape we take in possession. Full backs push up nowadays but his positioning was so clearly in the midfield at times. It is so obvious how he plays to instruction, sometimes almost like Eddie is guiding him by remote control Edited December 20, 2025 by Benwell Lad
La Parka
Good lad. Playing amazing. Out of position and everything. Hope his brothers come through too 😂
La Parka
And refusing to kick it out for Palmer. Absolute chad.

La Parka
Just now, Lush Vlad said: We sure he’s not a right back?! He has been turned a couple of times, but for a lad out of position he's barely looked out of place. He's got a football brain for sure and I love his inverted fullback shenanigans going forward. Casey
Most impressive thing about Miley to me is that he always seems to make the correct decision. He's got the instinct like, regardless of technical ability (which he has in spades). So young too.
LiquidAK
Is there anything he can't do?
r0cafella
He's so good but that isn't news to anyone who's been paying attention these last 3 years. Sky's the limit for him.

He's basically as much a right back as Lewis Hall was a left back when he came here. No reason he can't grow into that position, not that he's even looked like he needs to grow into it today. But also because even when Garnacho got half a yard. He ran the ball off 4-5 times Can’t imagine Garnacho will be coming back out this half. He was dreadful and Miley played him like a fiddle both ways.
SiLvOR
my know-nothing arse questioned having him at RB before the midweek game. Geezer looks like he's been there all his life. Unbelievable.
GEFAFWISP
Given his aerial strength in time he could probably become a CB too, outside of wing and striker he's got tools to play other positions.
