One of the things I really liked about him in midfield was that he rarely gives the ball away so I think he's already got that covered.

I guess for all the moaning about the money wasted in the summer, well Miley will probably cover that, his stock is rising fast. He looks genuinely class.

He rarely looks for forward or line breaking passes when he plays midfield, though. I think that is what Disco was getting at and I said similar after Wednesday.

Not saying he isn’t good and secure on the ball. But more safety first and recycling it than trying to force the issue when he can.

That's fair, I said the same thing myself when he was being touted to replace Joelinton. Joelinton loses the ball trying to draw players in and then playing it forward, Miley tends to look after it better but doesn't take the same chances.

He's growing into a real player now though, been great seeing him breaking into the box for goal attempts.

I feel like he's finally believing, bit like in Hook where all of a sudden Peter sees the banquet.

Due to the position. Im not saying hes a RB but he has a chance to see the game all in front as opposed to all round him. Could be great for his development.

Was my man of the match today alongside Wolte.

I didn't actually think Woltemade was that good today. He was decent and scored two, the second being an excellent finish, but he missed another to put the game to bed. His pressing was much better, but I felt a lot didn't come off for him and he held on to it too long sometimes. After half time he got very little joy.

I'd have had Hall ahead of him in the MotM standings - him and Miley were both very good.

Whooaaaaa there

That post was the second he scored, as sarcasm, aimed at those impatient entitled nonces that wanted him loaned out

Yeah, the experience he's picking up this season is going to be invaluable.

The loan shouts were awful. He has the talent to contribute to this squad and had already shown that previously.

I'm not sure there's a more composed player in the whole team.

I dont think he was good either, but hard to look beyond a guy who scores twice

Possibly already mentioned but away from his play, a little snippet. When on one of the rare occasions a Chelsea player hit the deck wanting the game stopped, Thiaw had the ball unsure whether to put it out or not, Miley made the decision for him, "give it to me we 're playing on, he's taking the piss".

Is Miley's long term future at RB? I suppose it's way too early to speculate. He looks composed and solid there from what I've seen.

No, I think that's an easy one to answer. But it's a huge bonus he can play so well there.  It's not unusual for a defensive/box to box midfielder to be competent (or even more than just competent) in most positions on the pitch. But IMO thats Tino's position for the next 6/7 years if he wants to stay.

I don’t think he’s good enough on the overlap personally (he’s barely done it the last couple of games albeit that might be under instruction with the overlapping FB being on the left) but he's certainly an option which can’t be a bad thing.

Seems good defensively but I see what you are saying.

He's good on the ball, but obviously is not the the kind to overlap but he's got all of the qualities of someone who can invert very well.

He's generally a passer, not a runner. Not that I cant see him adding that to his game, but if he does, I'd rather he was doing that from the middle of the park. Coupled with his super calm passing, it'd be quite the combination.

To be showing that level of performance, against one of the better teams in the league, playing out of position, at the age of 19, is pretty fucking special. I think people overlook how incredibly difficult it is to play in the premier league aged 19 and not look out of place, and Miley has been doing that since he was 17. The lad is a special talent and he's only going to get better

You can’t ask for more from a kid who is not even a part time RB at anytime of point in his career.

Hope he continues to play as a starter, but we definitely need to buy a new side back in January.
