Am I mistaken in my impression that his form curve is currently trending downwards? :icon_scratch:

With all due respect but what on earth are you on about?

Yes. He’s only played three games since being out for two and a half months.

Yes, the injury has affected his form. He's a great player; he was playing brilliantly before his injury. Hopefully, he'll regain his former strength soon.

It’s only been three games. Not sure you can draw any conclusions about ‘form’ from that.

Some expert, a former footballer, I don't remember who, said that you have to double the time of the injury until you're back to 100%.

So his 'form curve' is trending down because...?

His form has also shown a downward trend because he was injured for an extended period. ;)

At least that's the impression I got from his recent matches. That's why I wanted to ask what you all think.

Feels like a second language lost in translation thing, would that be fair?

His form isn't trending downwards, form doesn't usually apply when a player has just come back from injury, 'still getting up to speed/match fit' would probably be better.

I think your smoking some grade A shit if you genuinely think that.

I think RB is still a great position for his development for now. Next season, it's about staking his claim as a starting midfielder.

His ability to find cute little passes from FB is great for us. Tino isn't great at it.

The only problem with Lewis Miley is that  there is only one of him (Until we see how good his younger brother is)  the guy honestly shines anywhere you play him.

What i find weird is his older brother Jaime, who looked quite decent for us when he played in some friendlies but on the same year ended up joining Hartlepool of all clubs, seems to be doing well there.

The ball he played over the top for Barnes was absolutely sensational.

Won’t make any of the highlights as Barnes took a shite first touch and it bounced away, but it was literally a 40-yard clip, right onto his toe. De Bruyne-level quality.

Love Miley and thought he was one of the best on the ball yesterday, but the defensive side of his game was way off where it needs to be. He never got to grips with the diagonal ball over the top from the first whistle to the last, though Burn wasn’t much better and has loads more experience in the position.

Still think he’s our most reliable option at RB when everyone’s fit, which is a massive credit to his overall ability.
