"Ticket prices are horrific"

Same people...

"I need a pint cause it's been 40mins since my last one"

Let's say it's £45 a ticket that's £2.50 just being pissed away every time you leave 4mins early a half time. Just peculiar.

For a lot of people it's probably tradition to go and meet your mates at 40mins and get a pint, each to their own and everything.

But as you say, how many big incidents/goals are you missing per season by binning off the last 4-7 minutes of the first half.

I mentioned it in a recent club survey. The amount of people going to toilets to sniff some lines whilst people are waiting to genuinely use them, as well as fans coming in to the stadium who are clearly out of their mind is unacceptable to be honest. It’s fucking blatant as well.

How many games you been to this season?

Yeah, I mean - folk can ultimately do as they please - I just don't really understand that mentality. You've likely been sat or stood beside them and/or you've probably seen them before or will see them after.

I don't understand why folk go to the stadium and don't sing either tbh. Given the vast amount of televised football now, legally or otherwise, then why wouldn't you watch at home if you were purely there to watch the football. Surely, the whole reason you go to the stadium is to support the team and/or enjoy the atmosphere. Why would you go to enjoy the atmosphere and not contribute to it too?

Peculiar.

Plus the additional cost of slurping fake Spanish cooking lager at about £8 a pint

2, how is that distracting from my point though?

It’s been an issue for a while, others have mentioned it, in fact I was responding to someone who mentioned it.

Live and let live. People have been going to matches after imbibing something to improve their mood / lubricate their voice / sort their PMT (pre match tension) for decades.

I appreciate if you need a shite it’s prob annoying. What’s ironic is when I was a younger lad and would have a bit of toot to keep me going it usually made me desperate for a shit almost immediately - maybe 2 birds one stone fir the cubicle hoggers?

I think you are exaggerating the issue TBH.

Was the bottom of the gallowgate and there's some absolute whoppers in our fan base.  There was an argument about people standing up on a corner as they couldn't see as everyone else along the vision was standing up.  You're at a football game FFS, not the theatre.

These people should be put in their box and told to fuck off.

Barnes' second goal the biggest crowd reaction this season, anyone? Looked like absolute bedlam on the tele. You can sense it in the players too.

I was in the Corner for the 2nd half yesterday. Both goals were met by a mass of bodies rolling around in the aisles near to where I was stood. Mental celebrations.

2hrs extra drinking may have added to it.

Was my first live game this season. Was in the Platinum Club and it was relatively lively in there, in terms of singing. It didn't feel like I was the only one singing anyway (which can seem the case, particularly for 3pm kick offs).

Seen a video before on either X or Facebook (can't remember which one) taken from the Platinum Club and everyone was up singing "Barnes will tear you apart again" like.

It was class, even where I was in the Platty C.

Would say only the equaliser against the Micky Mousers was better.

Felt like a mix of relief that we'd finally get what we deserved from our performance and surprise that we'd finally beat Man City. I tend to go wilder if I feel we've been done a disservice and when I read the media questioning our team or coaching staff I absolutely love it when we ram it back down their throats.

  • 2 weeks later...

I’m not one to complain too much these days as it’s way better than it was for years but it was really, really bad tonight. Even moreso given the weekend and it being a night game which are usually better by default (pints). Could hear the players shouting at points in the first half.

Too many people expecting a win perhaps?
