It's a shame Olivier is long gone, could have got him to do it in his World At War voice, the finest narration ever done by any man.

Run a close second by Richard Burton in the War of the Worlds

Narration sounds fine. Such a bunch of moaners ?

Personally would've preferred someone neutral. Kinda loses credibility as a documentary if the whole story is being told by literally Mr Newcastle, but then this was always gonna be fundamentally pro-NUFC, which obviously I've no complaints about. Won't spoil it, like.

No different to any of the other AON docs in that regard.

Kevin Whately would have been my pick. A supporter, still got a Geordie accent but not laid on.

Contrary to belief, he’s not a Newcastle fan, he’s an Aston Villa fan.

Whately is from Hexham though :shifty:

So am I.

Conceived behind Dontino's Nite Spot and born in Hexham General Hospital.

I was also King of the Wentworth Roller Disco from 1990-1992.

So pipe down with the passive aggressive anti-Hexham jibes please.

I must've missed Sir Ben Kingsley's 206 goals for Man City LOL!

It is a bit different though. They might be fans but Daniel Kaluuya isn't to Arsenal what Shearer is to Newcastle, etc. Plus those people are all trained actors with dramatic credentials.

Anyway, I'm going too far into it, it's not a big deal. Would've just thought an actor would be a better fit, give it a bit more gravitas.

My banter shout is Roger Tames. Cheers.

He's been working in the media for 17 years like, but I take the point.

I can't think of anyone that would have done the whole gravitas but local thing tbh.
