Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

Recommended Posts

The thing is of course that while sale was all down to PSR, if there were no FFP regs we are unlikely to bother signing a Minteh in any case, let alone have Elliot Anderson still not scoring goals from midfield.  So stop whining about it, lads ;)

What has happened to us as fans? We used to be one of the worst in the league for being all bitter and twisted about ex-players. Booing them, the lot.

Now we’re crying in here, the Anderson thread and even re-writing history regarding Chris Wood’s time here

it’s gone bloody woke. I haven’t seen anything from this lad that suggests he’s anything other than absolutely shite and a waste of space. Murphy is better. Miley is better than Anderson too.

we could go out and sign Salah and people would still be whining about a lad who didn’t kick a ball for us. it’s bizarre.

Maybe the slightest tad harsh?

However, fully behind making him feel like he is when he rocks up next month.

was just being bitter and twisted as per Vlad’s post tbh  wouldn’t be surprised if some of our fans clap him though. fucking wet wipes. kid gets more respect than players who actually play for us.

And so he should, it's an honour to see him running out in the famous blue of Brighton

Aye they'll boo Cabaye and Perez but clap a bloke who's never played for us.

This thread only gets bumped when he scores, not when he's been shite and gets dragged off.

Weirdos

Honestly, the best thing that can happen is that the shackles come off and we can start buying proper CL quality players due the the ATP rules being blown out of the water. Then we can look back on this as a nice little earner instead of "oh nos, look at what we have lost!"

Why should we boo a player who left us through little to no fault or even choice of his own?

No-one said anything about booing him - it was more than a significant portion of the support are being the biggest fannies imaginable about a winger who was bought precisely for this reason; to be sold for FFP headroom.

I thought it was the case when we bought him, as well as when we sold him.  Tbf I wasn’t the only one based on the start of this thread.

I don’t think we’ve lost a world beater - and even if we have, we look daft whining about it.  I’m sure Chelsea look back at the sales of Salah and De Bruyne and think ‘maybe we should have kept them’, maybe Man City think the same re Cole Palmer.  I’m not especially convinced that Minteh is in that category.
