Opening Day: Luton (H)

Boxing Day: West Ham (H)

Last Game: Tottenham (A)

Boxing Day games are usually played between teams in closer proximity for what it's worth. Don't think we've ever played a London team on that day from memory

Those international breaks in september, october and november :anguish: Any particular reason, if they need to have so many, that it's not possible to move the October one to the second half of the season?

Think they are Euros qualifiers and they usually do the group stage draw around Xmas if I’m not mistaken

I never actually realised that, went back and double checked, and its actually seem like the Premier League puts the fans first for once, going back the last 10 years or so the furthest we've had to travel is Stoke. That said looking at the list below I feel like we're almost guaranteed to play Man United

2022/23: Leicester (a)

2021/22: Man United (h)

2020/21: Man City (a)

2019/20: Man United (a)

2018/19: Liverpool (a)

2017/18: Man City (h)

2016/17: Sheff Wed (h)

2015/16: Everton (a)

2014/15: Man United (a)

2013/14: Stoke (h)

2012/13: Man United (a)

2011/12: Bolton (a)

2010/11: Man City (h)

If you discount Sheff Wednesday as that was in the championship, in the last 12 Premier League boxing day fixtures, we've had 8 away and only 4 at home. Thats proper shit like.

We won’t get all 3 of opening day, Boxing Day, and last day at home.

Are we not possibly due an away start?

I can see us getting a difficult game to start off with, you would hope for a nothing club at home though.

Boxing day is usually fucking shit for us, even if we are at home it’s often against a bigger side, probably get one of Liverpool, Man City, or Man Utd then.

Random but I’d like to play Everton away during an actual fucking weekend, and generally avoid them later on in the season so we are not dragged into their antics when they are trying to stay up.

I’d quite like them to be one of those early turnaround fixtures where you have played them twice before January/February is out.

Had all 3 of the opening day, Boxing Day and last day at home in 2017-18 fwiw. Spurs, Man City, Chelsea.

Hoping for something like

Luton (H) first

Burnley (H) Boxing Day

Nottm Forest (H) last day

Yeah it's true, it's why our Boxing Day record is so bad. Likewise with midweeks, tend to be v teams geographically close hence why games against Everton are almost always midweek. Haven't played at Goodison Park in the daylight with fans in the ground since March 2015, only time in the last 13 years.

Do Champions League fixtures come out on the 31st August after the draw?

When they do the draw we'll know. Groups A, B, C and D play on Tuesdays and E, F G and H play on Wednesdays iirc. Separated into 17:45 and 20:00 kick offs (our home games will always be 20:00 kick offs).

CL group stage dates:

1: Tue 19.09.2023 / Wed 20.09.2023
2: Tue 03.10.2023 / Wed 04.10.2023
3: Tue 24.10.2023 / Wed 25.10.2023
4: Tue 07.11.2023 / Wed 08.11.2023
5: Tue 28.11.2023 / Wed 29.11.2023
6: Tue 12.12.2023 / Wed 13.12.2023

75% of them against one of the Manchester clubs or Liverpool. That is shit, though I wouldn’t mind it so much now.

I suppose it could end up a bigger break in practice once fixture lists are confirmed but it barely feels worth calling something a winter break if it's only guaranteeing a week's break between games.

Think that winter break will be the same thing that they trialled in February 2020 in 2019/20. 5 matches one weekend, 5 matches the next weekend. So there's still football on but all teams get a week's break.

I mean, of course they are, but this is first time I've ever noticed this.

Such a quick turnaround to find out the next seasons fixtures. Got a nice timeline of things to look forward to over the next few weeks.

Home game on last day of the season is all I ask for.
