I'm not even THAT bothered and I'm not sure why.

Same. This is a big fat juicy nothingburger. It's really only benefitted the press getting clicks and filled some column space while the international break is on.

Jesus that's harsh. If it's not on football, you'd think it would be a private matter like drink driving. A similar ban for Tonali seems almost inevitable.

I don't see why we have to assume that at all tbh. Fagioli is still playing in Italy under what seems to be the insanely strict rules of that country.

Even if they apply a ban I don't see how it gets enforced outside of Italy if it's not against PL or Fifa rules as a whole.

I’m fine with a ban from the Italian national team. More time at home for our baby boy.

Ban him from Italy full stop tbh. It's the only way he'll understand we're his new home and stop crying.

"I hope this gambling addition will save his life"? Are they trying to apply more gambling into his life in an attempt to save it? Worrying.

What does "illegal platforms" mean exactly?

Gambling is very highly regulated and I think it's quite difficult to get license to operate. Although it has been loosened significantly since mid 2000s, it's still pretty recent that you've been able to play online poker etc. Even now I think where games are entirely dependent on luck there are still heavy restrictions - so some forms of poker aren't allowed.

I don't understand what the motivation would be to use an unlicensed platform though - unless it's to access luck based games that are otherwise restricted. Or if it allowed for anonymity or something. The latter is what would worry me - if they'd been using it to bet on football because it was unseen.

Coming to Newcastle may have saved him as all of his vices were in Milan. Eddie will put an arm ‘round the shoulder and the fans will hopefully, like some on here have said , have a big banner and song for him in the coming games.

I’ve slagged his performances on here but this is a different matter and certainly mitigating circumstances for those performances. It’s a personal issue. Hopefully he gets world class support in beating such a problem. If he hasn’t bet on football then don’t know how Italian authorities can enforce a ban either at all for football and certainly not one in the U.K.

Could be worse. Blackjack is the one casino game where you have a reasonable probability of winning.

That’s the problem with online blackjack. You have no way of verifying whether the software is actually following real odds.

(and for what it’s worth, craps is better!)
