Not sure if true but rumour it’s 10 months ban, including a few months social services + rehabilitation, but allowed to train with first team

Well there's already been two other "rumours" going about, one saying 6 months and the other saying 12 months so one of them is bound to be right out of sheer luck.

Still don’t understand why they can’t train. Makes fuck all sense having him sitting around all day twiddling his thumbs when he has an addiction. Complete lunacy.

Aye, absurdly punitive, unhelpful and will have an impact following the ban

Yeah what’s with the no training thing? I mean if you’ve got someone who has a form of addiction surely him going to the training ground and being around players for support and having some routine is part of rehab? What’s he meant to do, go for a jogg round the block? ?

Yeah, thats why he's saying Romano is going with that story.

He's a prolific tap-in merchant when it comes to transfers so he must be pretty confident this is reliable.

He is allowed to train according to Italian press

The not allowed to train punishment is for Toney. I agree it doesn’t make sense anyway

Where is this reported?

I hope he can be around the team. Get the lad in all the photos! Come back flying

If its 10 months and training okay, that's not too bad.

The early signs have been Tonali struggling with the physical demands of playing for us, just as Gordon did, so this season mightn't be such a big loss if we get a much fitter and Howe NUFC-wise version of him when he comes back. Gordon's actual on-field prep for this season was as a false nine in U21 competition, so not exactly elite level or tactically relevant to what we are asking of him.

If he's not allowed to train they're potentially ruining his career. It's ridiculous.

It made no sense with Toney, but he's English, living in England and established as one of the best strikers in the league. The impact won't be as bad.

Do we know if Toney was allowed on the training ground? However just not allowed to train with the general group, or was it a blanket ban on going near any major sporting facility?

If its the later, thats ridiculous, how are people meant to recover when you're isolating them from the people that they have a close relationship with, and are in the best position to help.

Dead against him not being allowed to train. Taking a guy’s whole life away if he does have a gambling problem doesn’t seem like a good idea at all.

There has to be a punishment but that seems excessive.
