Loving his performances at the base but the real test will be how he performs against the top teams who can press more effectively.

He's been afforded a lot of space the last couple of games, which he won't get against the better sides.

Was very good against Liverpool, mind. Know plenty of their fans (don’t we all!) They all said he was the best midfielder on the pitch.

What’s surprised me is just how quick he is!

Yep. It’s nice to finally have a bit of

pace across the board. Yesterday we had Tino, Tonali, Willock, Gordon, Isak and Murphy. Hall isn’t quick, but he’s not slow, either.

We need to put him on corners too. He was fantastic at them for AC Milan, he’s got that wicked delivery which with pace and we should really use it more.

I thought that but Gordon and Hall are decent corner takers and it is useful to have Tonali hanging on the edge of the box for anything that comes his way.

His long range shooting is an advantage, agree on that. But his corners are like the ones Gazza used to take, so so fast and on point (a bit like Gordon’s cross for Isak’s goal against Arsenal).

also think Hall’s corners have been ok, but nothing special. Gordon’s have actually been good. Surprisingly thought Bruno’s against Brentford were really good, never had him down for a corner taker before.

Honestly never been as excited about a players future as I am with Sandro.

When he gallops about, it reminds me of Gerrard, very similar ability to close a few yards of space or play in small pockets. Obviously he's destined to play much deeper but it's not preventing him from getting about the pitch.

Who's the best Italian player to ever play in this league?

Is there even the slightest hint of substance to the rumours of him going back to italy? He's playing too well to be throwing a strop I would have thought, is it just italian media being mad again? I do wonder if agent has made enquiries but surely we wouldnt sell except for the kind of offer italian clubs can't afford...

I was comparing him to Rice yesterday and I think that’s also a similar comparison. Cover so much ground, runs all day, keeps it simple with the passing range but has it in his locker to produce something special

I’m sure it’s bullshit. He owes us big time and will want to succeed here.

What sets him apart in the deeper role is how quickly he moves the ball with those first time passes, whereas Bruno tends to get bogged down a bit. We have 2 there now that are capable of reading situations very early, it's very exciting

Once they work out how good he is, they’ll be linked to him rather than Bruno to replace Rodri.

Said this last week, although I obviously don't want to tempt fate. City are one of the few clubs who could probably afford him, I think any delusions the Italians had that he could end up back there have gone up in smoke.

Helps that he can kick a ball further than 20 yards without having to wind up

Also his pace, which I admittedly did not appreciate
