Yeah, it's not just the passes themselves, but also teammates not making themselves available enough. I also saw quite a few misunderstandings, so even the chemistry in the team is off.

Bringing the ball out is really hurting us - you have 2 full backs who aren’t progressive and you only have Tonali ‘showing’ - this will change when Tino and Hall return but I also feel he needs someone with in the middle (like a Bruno/Miley) - as 2 holding/Sitting midfielders

On Howe:

Quote

I think he is 10 out of 10 because he really likes me on and off the pitch.

He helped me in my first year a lot and mentally because mentally we work a lot on the pitch together every week, every day.

I think he is a very good gaffer, a great gaffer. On the pitch every day for our group, every player works together even if you start the game, are on the bench or at home.

I think this is good because every player is happy here and the reason probably ends up with him.

Add him to the loser list.

Fuck me Norway's GD is impressive. Also, you look at their squad and they've got a chance of winning the WC.  Lots of cracking players.

Beyond Haaland and maybe Nusa it's solid but nothing flash. They'd need a kind draw.

There's Nor way they're winning it like as good as they might be.

Ødegaard.

Think we will be one of the two favorites to advance no matter which group we end up in, don't fear anyone from those who are 2nd seeded.

Sort of like Newcastle, teams will fear drawing us.

Weird WC wins are rare but Greece and Portugal in the Euros come to mind. Greece was the weirdest.

They had rock solid defenders and a manager who set them up to be difficult to beat. If you don't conceede you always have the chance to win.

Norway are dreadful in defence, with a manager that tries to set the team up not to be beat despite having the vast majority of key players in offensive positions.

Lesser teams will be easily disposed of due to our superior attack through no fault of the manager, but when we face decent teams I fear we'll crumble like an old soggy buscuit.

Funnily enough Norway would be a side I’d fancy to get knocked out early doors - WC teams are more defined by defences than attacks (I agree with Jonathan Wilson’s comments from a while back that WC winners can usually be anticipated by looking at the strength of their full backs - if you have the best fullbacks, you’re very likely to do well).  That plus the heat when the tournament is played is liable to make sides based on power far less effective.

I also think that any result vs Italy needs to be taken in the context of a nation which has failed to qualify for the last two WCs and may be about to miss out on a third despite it never being easier to qualify.  They’re shite.
