Sometimes I think we don’t deserve nice things.

He’s had a difficult season like everybody but his work rate has been invaluable.

Talk about duels percentages in football misses the point, if you run back faster than your opponent and collect the ball first, it’s not a duel. But the attack has been stopped. Sandro does that 2 or 3 times a game.

Obviously we don't play the same system as Italy (or didn't, no idea if Gattuso has changed things) but I think it'd be a shame if he left this summer without us having seen him in that LCM position he plays for them, he seems to link brilliantly with Dimarco and has looked top whenever I've seen him there

His biggest dip in form was when his wife was about to give birth and he picked up an illness he couldn't shift. Some slack passing always riles people up more than it should because it looks shit when he just sprays a pass to no one twice a game, but the net contributions outside those passes are great and it's why he's coveted.

80 mill is fine and all but replacing him with James Garner doesn't move the needle.

I think the level of criticism here isn't really worthy of the backlash, like.

His stamina is incredible but on the ball he's been sloppy basically all season. No goals and two assists in the PL is a poor return as well.

Agree with @Ikon though, he's played a ludicrous amount of football this season which is likely to be a factor.

Personally I rate him despite his poor season and would like him to stay, that seems quite irrelevant though. If he’s agitating for a move and these clubs are interested then he will be going, and it’s up to the club to get him out for as much as possible. I don’t want us to try to cling onto players that don’t want to be here.

I think he'll stay next season and I also think we'll finish 3rd next season (if we get the summer right and improve the technical ability and our control/possession in games). Yeah only that..

Same. I mentioned a while back he’s a different player for Italy in that position, put in some outstanding performances for them.

You can post that “if he’s agitating to go” argument in any thread at any time. Yes it’s correct but there’s rarely any evidence it’s happening.

His agent keeps saying he wants to go?

I could accept losing Tonali if the money was used to bring back Anderson and help improve the team elsewhere. I would like us to have a more dedicated DM who protects the defense and recycles possession quickly, so many of the goals conceded this season have been from a lack midfield shielding.
