Chelsea have a load of players they're going to need to shift. If we need to get some financial headroom I'd rather we enquired for a loan with an option to buy on someone like nkunku.

 

They have a nonsensical transfer policy and often the players they sell do pretty well after.

Wilson is done. He cant be a target player and doesnt have legs anymore. At least Calwert-Lewin offers something else.

He hasn't, no doubt. But are there many who have over the past few years for Everton?

 

I'd say look at his qualities and what he has achieved when things are aligned. 

 

Add the financial incentive and its a smart bit if business. As with every player we sign, I take into account the next level that Howe seems to get out of them and judge them on that, not what they've done historically. 

 

We more than anyone should understand that.

I mean if we wanted to keep Wilson and still sign someone to play striker, then is Wilson going, DCL in and still signing someone who can play up front such a bad deal?

I'd sign a backup to Isak that Osula can compete with and Osula can also cover for RW when needed.

Nope. No point in signing a permacrock from a worse side. Free does not mean good. Eddie would probably improve him three times over, but rather he did it with Osula....

DCL, would miles ahead of them. Apart from the free transfer, he'd be nothing like an Ashley signing.

 

Fit he's decent enough as part of a squad, but he's never fit though, so i would steer clear on that.

Article I read had their contract offer as €6m/year which would be well within our range but yeah, massive agents fees etc.

Osula is not ready to be a second choice striker.

DCL on a free transfer would be good business. If we’ve shown interest before this one will almost certainly happen.

Any news of any PL teams needing to scramble to sell tomorrow? I know there were vague whispers of Villa and West Ham earlier in the window but are they still needing to get rid of some?
