I'm almost less irritated by the fact that the club may well drop the ball and give in than the incessant media narrative that we don't have much leverage against a player who wants to move, when that is clearly not the case. 

 

These clowns think that we are dim to continually peddle this narrative to enhance the reality show saga.

Think he would be great here. An example of a Championship player who could make it at the top level.

It's a tad amusing and illustrative of the window that the iPaper has a piece on why Newcastle remain hopeful, and linked within that is a piece on the 'fresh boost' Man Utd have received regarding Benjamin Sesko. 

 

You'd have more luck playing Russian Roueltte with a harpoon gun.

It’s absolutely astonishing that under 2 weeks till the season starts and 4 weeks till the window shuts in what should be our most exciting summer in decades the only thing I’m excited about is Seung-Soo Park who’s  played about 25 mins and will likely go out on loan. Sensational work all round

Exactly..weve taken no risk and looked like total mugs. Our strategy is garbage...its expensive and proven not to be hugely effective. Id rather we gambled 50m abroad than scapping around for a 35m player who will cost 60 because their club have a backbone

I dont expect our revenue to suddenly increase massively to fund our growth, so wouldn't mind a punt or two on talented championship players that we can shift at a profit later on. We may need to trade our way to success.

And its not a terrible arguement at all...we have had loads of terrible players bought for their experience and low risk. Buying the cartels cast offs has almost always not ended well for us.

 

Weve done the best when weve taken chances on players no one else would touch...Bellamy/Robert/Ben Arfa/Bruno/HallLivramento/Asprilla

I cant believe you bringing up players from 30 years ago. If you can't see the difference...?

 

PL players = less risk. Its that simple. Of course they are risky if those PL players are shite. We haven't targeted one poor player so far IMO.

 

 

Foreign players represent more risk, depending on the players you target. If you target the top tier targets Ekitike, Sesko and the ones weve already signed, Tonali, Bruno, then you reduce the risk.

 

You've said yourself that youd prefer to take the risk, but with respect, thats why you aren't in charge of our transfers. We cant afford a 50m or even 30m dud. It would cripple us.

 

We are going for the best, least risky players we can, theres plenty of time to take a risk but even then, I reckon it will be loan or someone already known to the league.

Selling players the club, explaining the project, obviously we dont know what's been said in these talks but if they can't communicate to supporters how can they communicate with potential signings
