Bobby Clark, maybe or maybe not, coming home.

We're definitely going to get another CM in to replace Longstaff, but really like the idea of getting Clark in as an additional one because Willock is just too much of a liability.

This is apparently a loan with a £5 million option too.

This kid was very highly touted and got some games when he was even younger at Liverpool and looked very promising.

If he hasn't settled in Austria and has been made available think they should go for this.

From the very little highlight form I've seen of Rudoni he's tidy, great goal against somebody, as a backup like that lad from Sheffield United we were linked with  fair enough. Tall lad, Scandinavian. But, on reflection, what became of him.

Sander Berge.

Would be a good low risk signing. Good for the homegrown quote aswell!

If we ended with...

Out: Dubs, Kelly, Longstaff, Wilson, Isak

In: Ramsdale, Thiaw, Rudoni, Elanga, Wissa, Sesko.

How would we be feeling?

It'd feel like a much stronger squad, but a weaker first team.

Šeško and maybe elanga aside it’s very uninspiring and if say Villa had signed those other 3 players I wouldn’t be at all worried

Give us Ramsdale (loan), Guehi, Gallagher (loan with obligation), Elanga, Wissa and Šeško, then we’re cooking on gas.

That we’ve set a precedent that other teams in our division can take our best players when they choose. So regardless of team or squad strength we’d end it being a much weaker club.

A million percent, this. The message selling Isak to Liverpool sends is just too appalling to comprehend even with incomings.

5/10 must do better.

The other issue, if we did go on a late splash with the Isak money if it comes in, is even if we get all the positions and depth we wanted covered, they would have had no bedding in time and there will be very little time on the training ground this year for Howe as he stated last time we were in CL.

Which is partly why he was pushing us to try and do business early.

Relying on new players to play on instincts alone and with very little patterns and relationships with others developed.

Fuck Isak and Liverpool man, they really didn't help our situation this summer. However there are other factors that contributed to this chaotic window.

Not ideal is an understatement but at this stage getting the players we need in would  be an achievement in itself.

Also not sure when champions league fixtures start in terms of fixture congestion so while not ideal new signings in next few weeks may get "managed minutes" while we bed them in. Striker wise not so much if isak goes but even if he stayed and him leaving wasn't a thing the "injury" has meant he ain't had a preseason anyway.

Unless of course ... the manager has weighed things up and thought this guy is a bit of a moody twat and he's always moaning about his groin hurting.

Let's get rid and put the money towards making the squad on the whole stronger and keep all the guys that are fully bought in.

If we are selling Isak I would want bigger statement signings at CB and CM. Not that I know much about them, just going after what transfermarkt values them at.

If he can't get Isak to commit then 100% Eddie will. Isak is tainted goods now. A clean slate and new faces in that want to be here. It'll turn out all good this you watch. We might just find we get what we need.

Clark back in this summer for £5M (next summer) feels like a no brainer to me.

£5M doesn't seem much in comparison to the prices we've been hearing for players over the last 6 weeks but it is a fair whack considering this kid has proven nothing so far. You've just got to trust the club to know whether it's worth getting him back or not.

From Ornstein late yesterday:

Everton have made an improved bid for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.

Southampton are yet to respond to the offer, which is worth in the region of £40million including add-ons, but they are seeking a higher fee for the teenager, and it is expected to be rebuffed.

Everton have already seen an opening offer for Dibling turned down this summer. He is keen to return to the Premier League, having never played in the Championship, following Southampton’s relegation last season.

The 19-year-old’s contract at St. Mary’s runs until 2027 and he has also attracted interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
