NUFC Transfer Rumours

Frankfurt being after Osula is very interesting as they have an excellent record with strikers recently. Made 60 million on Ekitike, 75 million on Marmoush and 95 million on Kolo Muani. They're clearly seeing something in him that we aren't.

Yea, they’re seeing a work rate with pace, which in the Bundesliga will yield goal scoring chances because of how shite and wide open teams are at the back.

Wonder who will write the first article saying Kees Smit is a no go and Howe wants a midfielder with PL experience this January.

Chris Waugh and Luke Edwards odds on, with Connor Gallagher being the player Eddie would love.

Nah, I'm sure they are aware the PL market is a bit of a busted flush and things need to change. Sounds like Smit will have better offers anyways.

Alkmaar apparently have already knocked back Real Madrid's offer of 40m. They want more than 60m.

I guess that rules that one out.

I've not seen anything of him, but apparently he's a Kevin de Bruyne regen. Im not sure if that's because they both play a similar style or because they are both ginger.

Be a risky punt at that sort of money for a player from the Eredivisie.

No idea if he's the same player at this point but have always been well up for us signing Conor Gallagher. Always on the bench for Atletico this season so could be a possibility, but his wages are supposedly enormous. Maybe why we didn't look at him this summer.

I wanted Conor Gallagher last summer as a replacement for Joelinton. I'd have taken him over Jacob Ramsey every day of the week.

Has Glasner shown anything to suggest he'd be a significant upgrade on Howe? I'd put them in a very similar bracket.

The only thing I’d count against Eddie compared to managers in his bracket is signings and squad turnover. Think we hang onto or play players too long out of loyalty or not wanting to risk disruption, when we’ve needed a good few players, and value has been around. The French-African midfielder from Monaco we’ve been linked with was near out of contract last year, we go for Ramsey. In the other hand, Eddie’s record of improving players is second to none. This also makes it baffling he seems averse to taking a risk on foreign players, at least players who show robustness and quickness of thought.

If we’re serious we should offer 40m upfront with 10m in realistic add ons staggered at 20, 40, 60 and 80 appearances covering a two year period roughly. If he’s doing those numbers he would obviously be a success.

If Real are interested, we won't have a sniff.

I'm not sure it's really out of loyalty, it's more like we needed to make so many signings that any position we didn't need a new player in was valued very highly.
