Menace
Hall completely pocketed Bowen. I don't want him here for the money they will want.
Moose
A big fat no for Bowen. He'll be expensive in both fee and wage and will be no use to man or beast in the next couple of years once his legs have gone. I'd only take him if he was happy to come here on a relatively modest salary and accept being a bit part player as he leadership qualities may have some use but I'd like to think we're aiming higher and being more creative to the Gordon replacement and the starting RW

Consensus seemed to be that he's a club legend but for whom the magic's gone and has had a bad season. The forgiving among them reckoned it was because he's been carrying them for so long and/or because he's got an injury. The guy has barely missed a game of football since becoming a first-team player for Hull nearly ten years ago. You can definitely see the appeal for signing someone like him given what we've lacked this season, and given we'll be losing dressing room leaders, but I'd worry about how much he's got left in the tank. We've signed three ~30.y.o players since the takeover; two have been absolutely immense and one has been a disaster. Backing up those points I was surprised to see his name on this list the other day.
Kilcline
Bowen is the stereotypical best player in an average or poor side but if he ever played for a good side he'd stick out like a sore thumb as being not quite at that level
Dokko
Bowen is quality, but he's tired from carrying the team for several years. New club and he'll by flying again, but too ready made and no resale for us. Manu would be perfect.

aussiemag
Bowen would only make sense at a low transfer fee and West Ham arent going to sell their best player for 30 million.

I keep reading he's a poor finisher there, but can't recall him making a mess of many chances. He either scores or hits the target and has it saved. Off either foot. His shooting numbers this season per 90 also line up.

TBH apart from Barnes I wouldn't back any of our players more when running through on goal. Honestly never considered he might be thought a poor finisher. He strikes the ball cleanly with both feet. Yeah, I don't really get it either. Seems to be one of his stronger points if anything.

He also had to score against Qarabag and didn’t. But there’s no doubt we’re seeing a quantum leap in his output in the last run of games. It’s pretty exciting if we can swap Wissa for someone half decent.

Sure but up till very recently Osula had absolutely nothing in his career to back it up. Is this the first time he’s scored regularly at any level? We’re all pleasantly surprised. Exactly, there's no history of him getting any sort of meaningful game time and fluffing easy chances either. Going by what he has done when he's actually played and had chances in front of goal, he's mostly put the ball in the net or hit the target.

I think there’s possibly still some PTSD from seeing him commit some absolutely horrendous misses like the one at Birmingham or the one at USG. FWIW I think he’s seemed a fair bit more composed in this recent run of games. Still a whirlwind, but he’s managed to just pull it back from being completely frenetic, which is definitely helping.
