I don't get the big deal, a wee joke that didn't harm anyone. We already have Barnes which is the player Garnacho will turn into.

Not the type to take players on, more to make runs in behind, get in goal scoring positions. See Barnes as a 6 or 7 out of 10 player. Think that's Garnacho's ceiling. Lotus
If I had to choose between Pedro and Ederson (Atalanta) I think I'd go for Ederson. He easily covers 6 & 8. Not sure where Pedro plays other than as a 10 and we don't even use that in our formations. There's absolutely no way our 3 CMs are gonna play all those games next season. What Miley does or doesn't do is yet to be seen (high hopes, personally). We need quality starters for CB, CM and RW primarily. I think this had been covered a fair bit but it's assumed Joao Pedro would cover a few purposes. Firstly, it gives us quality cover for Isak. Secondly, it gives us the option of two quality forward players, whether that's 2 up front or more likely playing with a number 10 and lastly Pedro has the ability to easily cover in wide areas if required. Our whole attraction to him is likely his versatility.

One reason is I couldn’t stomach Peter Drury blaring out: “ALEJANDRO GARNACHO! There’s the name, remember it” Whilst wearing the beloved black and white stripes! ponsaelius
He's gonna be class. But certainly a project player rather than one that goes straight in as first choice. Played very little football. Edited June 26, 2025 by ponsaelius

andycap
Garnacho is obviously a talent but he's a crackerjack twisty sod. We'd turn on him quickly if we ever did buy him. 😂
