Isak will start 90% of the games, it’ll be hard to get a forward with a good goalscoring record to be a bit part player. Pedro would be able to play with Isak, or fill in up front if required.

I reckon Osula could that many, at least.

I think Eddie Howe believes he does though.  We came close to signing him before we bought Isak.  IMO the drop off from Isak to Osula is far greater than the drop.off from our midfield to Miley, Longstaff or Willock

Highly, highly doubt Frimpong, Cherki's wages match our highest earners, even Reijnders i'd be surprised if it started at much more than 160-180. Brighton's new Kostoulas kid basically plays as both a forward and a shadow striker, he seems like a Joao Pedro replacement.

 

That position also has Rutter back from injury, Gruda who looked class in the final weeks, O'Riley too, while loanees Enciso/Buonanotte are coming back.

 

That club loves depth and versatility.... I feel like they're prepared to sell him. Maybe £55m does it.

Fed up of all this talk about phases and stages with regards transfers and “the project”. I swear the number of stage/phase goes backwards or forwards all the time depending on the mood around the club/most recent result, like we go from 1 to 2, back to 1. Like being back in lockdown again. PIF have ambitions but there’s no master plan. They’re not 4d chessing this, they’re not choreographing every move. They’ve actually made a lot of mistakes. Well maybe we don’t know cause they never speak to us. Rant over. Sick of this window. Need a bid accepted/medical arranged bomba so bad.

2 champions league qualifications and 1 cup. Can’t wait until they do finally click! They are here for the long game. The tweet above is just click bait rehash of what we already know but put together in such a way it reads as new info. It isn’t. Preferred the South Park Underpant Gnome phases personally!

Of course the owners aren't perfect and could do things better but in a PSR dominated footballing world that was inevitable. However, the achievements so far since they took over are amazing and we are only going to grow and get better and more consistent.

 

Not even in July yet, I would love a signing as much as anyone but some perspective is needed.
