NUFC Transfer Rumours

Barry is cheaper at £27.5m moving to Everton, with plenty upsale.

Would rather take one of the many free strikers as an alternative, or even get another young winger and have Elanga play the emergency striker role. There's many different options then paying peak value for someone who's near 29 and won't be a starter and can only play one position.

Elanga cant play as CF, Gordon can though.  We do need a striker capable of playing 20 games + without a massive drop off.  Isak might be fine, some players are.  But we need someone that can come in and perform well.  Say Isak was out all of last season where do we finish?  Im not saying Wissa is the answer and not my first, second or third choice but we do need a back up/ alternative.

Not sure where the idea has come from that Gordon can play as a CF. He might have played as a false nice for the under 21s but when he's played there for us he's looked terrible.

Don't be surprised if liverpool come in for Gordon if they sell Diaz, and part of that deal is Harvey Ellott

They lose two players and replace them with one?

RW. Some lovely crosses.

However I think he wants LW to score more.

Don't know what you're discussing, just here to comment that, being honest, it's really just ONE cross from RW, isn't it? Fucking beautiful it was.

And a very good game. Probably  his best at SJP last season.

Leeds want Pope too. I cant see that happening even if Trafford comes in as we need a strong alternative, and Pope fits that bill. I wouldn't be overly fussed if Pope remains our number 1 for the upcoming season if it means the money can be spent on more pressing matters.

How much would Pope be worth? A year left on his contract and 33 years old, 10 million? I reckon (if we get Trafford) that it would be better to keep Pope, as his value as our 2nd option is surely worth more than 10 million?

Yes?

No?

Maybe?

Obviously Wood splits opinion.

Kelly, you could say we got lucky with.

Osula still has pretty much everything to prove (although it does look promising long term).

12m for him on the back of that really impressive second half of the season on loan is still great business. Huge bummer he got injured twice but flop is a hella strong word.

Brentford fans surely would be a bit gutted and concerned if they lost their manager, Mbeumo and Wissa in the same summer.

As well as their captain and keeper…
