TRon
If we are at that point we are posting tweets from someone called Wiil that Guehi reps are flying in for talks, then it's probably a sign that should get back to some work. Clearly nothing much in the pipeline today.

Never seen him have a good game anywhere else Which is strange because at 2023 Euros, he was superb in the striker role. I do think he does play well there for us, just ends up playing there more often than not when he’s fucked.
GallowgatePigeon
Be honest, which one of you DM'd Will about the NUFC Transfer Dept. Crack Team being deployed to Burnley & Guehis agent racking up his air miles?
Sibierski
McAtee signing also makes sense in that he would potentially also be long term cover for RW, so there’s longevity to get a useful squad player out of him for a low fee by Prem standards. Lazarus
Not the 1st time weve visited a club to try and sign a player. Remember when Hall and Shepherd went to Turin and rocked up at Juves reception to buy Baggio?
mighty__mag
Rumours circulating that Leeds could swoop for Longstaff and then Willock, they're also credited with interest in Nick Pope.
gbandit
Wouldn’t have an issue with Willock going. Find it hard to believe he’s going to regain his best form with us. You could argue that he’s still young enough to turn it around but last season was chastening
Ikon
20m for Willock and I’d snap their hands off. Would be around 30m for him and Longstaff that we could actually use for players that bring something to us. Reliability as well.
SteV
Don’t think we’d let Longstaff AND Willock go
Ikon
I do. One is extremely injury prone and the other one doesn’t contribute anything unless playing regularly. If we have the chance to get 30+ for them there’s no way we say no in this case. Even if we signed one quality and reliable CM alone it would make us stronger overall than having those two. Do totally agree with this like. 4 bonafide options for the midfield + Miley would be better than the current 6 we have.

Also, performing in the U-21s is a long way from the elite levels required at PL level where you are facing the world's best defenders. In some ways that's even true at senior international level where you can come up against Lithuanias or Latvias to pad your stats out.

Him and MGW had a great link up when both on the pitch in those roles though, so don’t think it’s hyperbole. Like it’s not going to be natural as it’s not his natural position, but he can be effective in that role.

JP
Next time anyone is getting impatient about signings, lets keep in mind PIF have done an unbelievable job with recruitment since they came in. Our team in the last game before the takeover, 2-1 loss away at Wolves: Darlow Manquillo Fernandez Clark Ritchie Longstaff Hayden Willock Almiron Joelinton Maxi They'll get done what needs to get done.
