NUFC Transfer Rumours

Fucking Jackson. Absolute donkey of a player. To spend £80m on him would probably end my interest in football for good. Going from isak to him. Sickening. Actually do it. Fucking burn the club down.

But other than that are you open to the idea? :)

What would be peoples thoughts on Jackson and Sesko?

I’d be good with that, sure Eddie can do a job with both. If at all more than likely to be Jackson/Sesko and Wissa.

Am I alone in liking Jackson? Think there is an elite striker in there

That must be why he's the only one left we might have a chance of landing.

If hes the only striker coming in its terrible. If hes one to play with Isak or another its not that bad.

Some proof of action would be very welcome. Right now we are hearing nothing and doing nothing - with no one running the show. I started this window with such optimism and now I'm damn near catatonic.

As a complete aside from our whole situation, i'm really glad i'm a lot more dethatched from social media these days (Other than this place) and I have a much more chilled approach to following the sport then I used too, as the transfer window these days is just pure garbage from start to finish, there is absolutely nothing redeeming in it, there is 0 enjoyment in it , every transfer for every club is seemingly known well in advance and drags on for several weeks until its complete, and in that time you'll have Twitter ITK's spouting absolute nonsense, journalist looking to cover column inches with the same stuff regurgitated again and again with no new information ever offered, agents putting out names of other clubs to manipulate the buying club for one reason or another, and people like Romano who just shout a tirade of guff continually, normally from agents using him as a vessel, so he can make a quick buck. Then you have fans of other clubs with a online following like Rory Jennings rage-baiting fans of other clubs all for engagement, as well as actual fans who just use the internet who's emotions go from one extreme to the other based on whether their shit sinks of floats at a given moment, with absolute zero room for nuance, breath or critical thinking. Its actually ridiculous how obscene it all is.

We’re literally currently in talks for at least three players

Genuinely fuck this summer. Echo others with the expectation it was going to be, to quote Mark Douglas, “transformative”.

Oh it’s been “transformative” alright. We’ve all now got expectations lower than a mackem’s IQ now, the perception we can compete off the field ground down into tiny grains of dust. That moment it hits you with the realisation we are bottom of KSA/PIF’s sportswashing priority list.

Just fucking tired of having hope dangled in front of you, before a boxing glove takes its place and steams one into your face.

He’s got some extremely good, raw qualities. He has pace, he has good movement and he has awareness but he does make very poor decisions at times. I would like him to have better technique on the ball but I’m fairly convinced that in the right hands he becomes an extremely successful striker and potentially even a 10

Talks are not action. We have a LOT to do and vanishingly little time to do it.

We have more than a month.

It will be far from ideal if we show up to Villa Park without other new signings and an unhappy Isak, but we have more time than it seems.

There's little doubt in my mind that if we were to sign him we'd be ridiculed and then 18 months later Eddie will have done it again. The fees being thrown around are crazy though.

This take is a bit lazy imo. He's very solid technically. More so than a Nunez. I don't think his overall game is raw, it's refined. He links up well with others.

He's just often poor in front of the goal and has temperament issues. His technique often falls apart in the box but that's more mental than anything. You can almost see his heart rate increase then he doesn't sort his feet out in time and he rushes the finish or be off balance. But in general play or when his confidence is up his touch, ball control,  ball striking is good. But he doesn't have that composure.

He could do with studying Aguero. Aguero was so right foot dominated but the way he would plant his left foot so firmly in good timing, that right foot was just butter. Look at Jackson, he's rarely set when shooting.
