NUFC Transfer Rumours

This take is a bit lazy imo. He's very solid technically. More so than a Nunez. I don't think his overall game is raw, it's refined. He links up well with others.

He's just often poor in front of the goal and has temperament issues. His technique often falls apart in the box but that's more mental than anything. You can almost see his heart rate increase then he doesn't sort his feet out in time and he rushes the finish or be off balance. But in general play or when his confidence is up his touch, ball control,  ball striking is good. But he doesn't have that composure.

He could do with studying Aguero. Aguero was so right foot dominated but the way he would plant his left foot so firmly in good timing, that right foot was just butter. Look at Jackson, he's rarely set when shooting.

So he's good at everything except finishing.

You can't study/improve finishing at this stage of his career.

If you're not a shooter upon turning pro you'll never be.

Not true actually, there’s a lot of mental work you can do to improve it. I’d say it’s hard to improve technique significantly at this stage but finding a yard of space and making the right decision is something you can work on. Was Salah an amazing finisher at this stage in his career?

Salah was highly rated, the attributes were there and he clearly put in the work
Average players have a very short cap on how high they can go, that's why (young) talents goes for so much, their upside can't be matched by most.

There are always exceptions to the rule, but in this scenario it's almost an absolute

Yes fucking please. This over all else. Isak can go as well.

Samu Omorodion Aghehowa almost joined Chelsea last summer but the £34.5million transfer deal collapsed at the last minute, resulting in the striker signing for Porto. Chelsea could be ruing their failure to sign Samu Omorodion Aghehowa after Porto slapped an eye-watering £85million price tag on the striker.

Mirror.

What would people prefer:

Jackson AND Wissa

Sesko Only

Agehowa Only

Isak to stay and no new striker

One of the above strikers PLUS DCL

Taking emotion out of it.........Isak and DCL.

Also positioning etc, look at how DCL went ham for goals when Ancellotti told him to just stand on the 6 yard line and kick it

Emery said similar to Watkins. Stop "working the channels". Make sure you're within the width of the goal when it matters, one or two touches - bam.

Ancelotti did the same thing with Vini. Told him fewer touches will make him more decisive.

Agehowa plus a young promising striker (would take loan with future fee, like Hall)

No DCL please.

Would rather spend 40 million on an attacking CM who can unlock defences, than Wissa who has little resale value.

I like Wissa, he could fill any holes across the front line, there must be a "new Isak" out there as well.

Would take that. But if we choose to sell Isak then Wissa and Sesko please.

Didn't see that on the options list.

Would love a wild card in the midst of all this, someone that the usual suspects have no clue about.

Don’t think you can really risk any ‘only’ option this season, regardless of who it is.
