I was stoked to be linked to Ekitike, obviously, but in reality the players that got us into the Champions League twice in the last three seasons have been the Dan Burns and Murphys and Halls of the squad as much as the Isaks. We have a manager that can really get the best out of people. I’m all for adding players like Wissa and Muinz to this squad and see what Eddie can get out of them. I agree. At this point I just want us to get the numbers we need in, and players the coaching team like and believe they can work with and get more out of. Think a lot of these more unfancied names that are deemed as underwhelming will make bigger names for themselves at Newcastle.

Arsenal have to completely change the way they play. Chelsea are Chelsea so good knows but I don't see them being any better because they have class players already Man City will dominate Liverpool will struggle due to the changes but also their system stopped working towards the end of the season. We can rest/leave Isak at home for cup matches, especially those early round ones like Cheltenham Town (A) and still have plenty of fire power. We need a squad. It’s what made two seasons ago so hard and as unsuccessful as it was.

That’s all just guesswork. The signings they make improve them on paper because they all we’ve got to go on. The fact Arsenal have actually signed a striker instantly improves them. Been crying out for one for years. Zubimendi also improves that midfield. Chelsea are mental but they’ve made some great signings and bombed out their flops Man City have made really good signings in Cherki, Trafford, Reijnders even Ait Nouri improves their squad and as annoying as it is Liverpool have been most impressive Frimpong, Kerkez, Wirtz and Ekitike is a sensational window and god forbid they could add Isak. Its just not true to say each haven’t significantly strengthened or improved while we at the moment have went backwards

J7
If we aren’t looking at defenders, then it’s almost negligent. Five of our first team defenders are into their 30s, including Lascelles on the back of an ACL who was never that good anyway. Are we just waiting for Schar’s form to go off a cliff before we do anything? We’re going to need a couple per window for a bit going forward at this rate, not just a special player from ‘the list’. I honestly can’t believe how terrible this window has gone. It’ll likely define the next few years. The perfect opportunity after CL qualification and Man Utd and Spurs floundering and we’ve totally messed it up. Chasing after small list of long shots then seemingly nothing below it. KaKa
Pretty sure the Hope article is just saying that CB is on hold for now, as other positions are being prioritised first, in the short term.
Weezertron
We've only managed to sign one player permanently so far. 2 new strikers to go alongside our Striker who wants out, seems a tad unrealistic.
J7
We HAD a small squad as it was at the start of last season. Since then we’ve lost 4 and brought in 1. It’s not like we have young players to fill the void either.

Kooiman
I seriously think the Mailick Thiaw makes a lot of sense. Milan are open to sell (having taken a bid from Como) and he's physically and technically good enough for this league.
