Hoying him up front has always been a pointless exercise Yep. And if we do prefer him there to Osula, it just suggests Osula is never going to be good enough tbh. He isn’t a kid anymore; he’s 22 and if he’s not getting minutes ahead of a player being played out of position the writing is on the wall.

It's a fucking shitshow, even the most positive (my old man) can acknowledge that now. Any Sporting Director we end up appointing has to be given the reigns for transfers, with Howe obviously having an input too. We've had 4 windows of this shit now, time to start acting like the club we aspire to be.

Dr Venkman
There’s an awful lot of talk about who replaces Isak and who replaces Wilson. Forget Wilson. We need to bring two players in to cover the goals we’re losing by selling Isak, and ideally one of them should have some longevity in the squad/resale value. We don’t need to replace Wilson. He offered absolutely nothing last season, and that’s being kind. Edited August 7, 2025 by Dr Venkman

If we let Isak go (which I don't think is going to happen), we'd have to sign another striker (or sign both of these two) anyway. I disagree. Jackson only comes on the proviso is Isak is gone, Wissa comes regardless. We'll see soon anyway, and at the figures mentioned it's not terrible financially even if not inspiring. Vinny Green Balls
Wissa as a replacement for Wilson is brilliant business. Someone who doesn't have a horrible injury record and has proven that he can score goals. It's a massive upgrade, and floor raiser. Kimbo
I don’t get why we’re comfortable going without a striker for the start of the season while we wait for Brentford to maybe get another striker so that we can bid for Wissa again. I would be ditching the Wissa idea at this point, we’ve waited too long.
